What a performance from Jordan Kavanagh at the British Eventing LeMieux Grassroots Championships

After an unbelievable day yesterday, Jordan finished with not one, but two horses inside the top 10 on their Badminton debuts, with both horses producing fantastic performances to finish on their dressage scores.

Describing the championships as “exactly what the grassroots community need”, Jordan praised the incredible atmosphere and already can’t wait to be back next year.

Qualifying for these championships is a brilliant achievement and you can see how much the last few days meant to all the competitors.

Congratulations to Jordan and to every rider who competed, what a brilliant few days of grassroots eventing!

With the 2025 qualification opportunities now complete, we’re delighted to confirm that qualification criteria have been extended — giving more members the chance to enjoy the incredible experience of competing at one of the country’s most iconic sporting venues.

This update means more combinations will have the opportunity to ride at Badminton for the British Eventing LeMieux Grassroots Championships BE90 & BE100 Grassroots Championships 2026 at Badminton Horse Trials.

Highlights of the updated criteria include:

🏅 𝐁𝐄𝟗𝟎 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬:
• Top 12% BE90 Regional Championships
• Top 20% BE90 Scottish Championships
• Top 12% BE903DE 2025
• Eligible combinations from the top 10 of the BE90 OBP League who haven’t already qualified

🏅𝐁𝐄𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬:
• Top 30% BE100 Regional Championships
• Top 20% BE100 Scottish Championships
• Top 20% BE1003DE 2025
• Eligible combinations from the top 10 of the BE100 OBP League who haven’t already qualified

“We’re delighted to broaden the qualification pathway, opening the door for even more combinations wishing to experience the thrill of the British Eventing LeMieux Grassroots Championships at the iconic venue of Badminton… We can’t wait to see the event come to life in 2026.”

Qualifications for the British Eventing Aspen Cooling BE80 Championships at Chillington (2) on 12–13 September continue into 2026 — further details to come.
