We recently had the pleasure of welcoming the YouTube collab crew from YouTube channel Welcome To The Country to The Oxford Gun Company for an unforgettable day of filming, first-time experiences, and a behind-the-scenes look at how a professional shooting school operates here in the U.K. 🎥🇬🇧

Our main presenter took the team through their very first shooting lessons, covering the basics, firearm safety, and helping them build confidence on the range. From the very first shots to the reactions afterward, the energy throughout the day was incredible!

As well as experiencing shooting for the first time, the crew also got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at day-to-day life at The Oxford Gun Company — seeing exactly how a shooting school is run in the U.K., what goes into training, safety procedures, and the passion behind the sport.

There were plenty of laughs, great moments behind the scenes, and some seriously impressive shots for complete beginners. It was amazing to see everyone step out of their comfort zones and fully embrace the experience.

A huge thank you to the Welcome To The Country crew for coming out and making it such a fun collaboration. We can’t wait for everyone to see the full video and relive the day with us! 🔥🎯

Over the coming months, we’ll be taking a look back at the incredible legacy of Doug and Shirley Florent—founders of The London Gun Company and The Oxford Gun Company.

Through their work over the past 50 years, they have made a lasting impact on the world of shooting, from running two of the UK’s most respected shooting grounds to sharing their knowledge and passion through The Shooting Channel.

We’ll be revisiting some of their films and achievements, celebrating a lifetime dedicated to the sport and the community around it.

What an incredible achievement! 🇬🇧

A huge congratulations to Bethany Norton on winning gold at just 19 years old — what a privilege it is to have such an inspiring talent in our community. From her early days at the TSC Academy to becoming the youngest girl at just 13 to win one of the Schools Challenge cars, Bethany has shown dedication, skill, and determination every step of the way.

Bethany started at The Oxford Gun Company, picking up a shotgun for the very first time at just 11 years old — what an amazing journey to the top! There will be a bottle of champagne waiting for you to celebrate when you are back!

Congratulations to all participants and winners of the inaugural National Schools Challenge, held at The Oxford Gun Company on Wednesday 18th March 2026 🎯

The event welcomed nearly 100 talented young shooters from across the country, all competing to be crowned the top school in the UK for clay shooting 🇬🇧 The standard of shooting throughout the day was exceptionally high, made even more impressive by the technical and challenging nature of the course 👏

We are delighted to congratulate Warwick School on securing the overall team victory, taking home the Browning 825 🏆 It is fantastic to see a new school rise to the top in such a competitive field.

Our congratulations also go to King’s High for their excellent performance in winning the ladies’ category 👏
