The Highland CaniCrossers "Highland Fling"

After a great deal of thought I will no longer be doing anything to do with Highland Canicrossers - which also includes the “Fling” at the moment there are far too many other things going on for me to realistically do anything properly with it.

Due to various reasons, as some might have already worked out, this year’s fling will not be going ahead 😢

Fling 2021 -
not 100% sure if this will be going ahead
1) haven’t been able to visit the site yet. However when we drove past in October it looked like the Land Rover tracks we use were covered in tree branches/ logs - I’ve emailed them to find out for sure.
If that is the case then it’ll probably be a no as trying to work out another route on that site might not be feasible due to the restrictions with the Paintballing.
So it would be potentially be a case of starting from scratch again....

2) Given the yo-yo nature of restrictions over the past year still working out the feasibility of some of the restrictions are in place, especially given that the only place where a 2M social distance could be maintained would be around the hub .... thereby making overtaking (in theory) impossible.

We are very excited to now offer meals from our takeaway kitchen at Dalraddy Holiday Park. Made by the talented Alvie Forest Food team.
Open Tuesday to Saturday 12noon - 8pm, and Sunday’s 12noon - 6pm.

Unfortunately we are going to have to cancel this year’s “Highland Fling” 😢
Although there may well be some form of ‘normality’ by then, I still think there will be several restrictions that would change the feel of the weekend into something I wouldn’t be happy with.
There are also additional issues that will not be able to be resolved in time so unfortunately we have no option but to cancel.

For those that have already booked with Dalraddy - They have said “ For those who have booked on the holiday park, we would be happy to move the booking to the date of next year's event, for no additional cost. Obviously if the competitors would like to keep their booking this year, we can offer that too. Competitors can contact the holiday park reception by email- [email protected]”

WE NEED YOUR HELP
Hi, My name is Bigga, my 24 furry co workers and We have found our selves with out an income, some dam virus that attacks the people is making life hard, so now they can not travel to cuddle us or watch how we transform into hardworking sled dogs 😔

Now we don’t eat a lot of kibbles.... (that’s dog food, not peoples food) well except for Houbie he eats a lot of kibbles, oh and Eskimo we feeds him a lot of kibbles to keep him quiet. (Don’t tell him I said that)
We know not many people will be able to help But if you want to help we would be so very wet nose in the ear grateful.
