Ashburton Food & Drink Festival Ashburton Food Festival is a free one day event celebrating local produce, culinary expertise and conversations about food, health and happiness.

This year's events is on the 13th September 2025 from 10am-5pm Saturday, September 9th, 2017. 10am - 5pm

The Ashburton Food & Drink Festival is a celebration of the fantastic local food producers and traders that are found in and around our historic Dartmoor town. Last year's food & drink festival was widely hailed as a great success for the quality of the producers, the friendly atmosphere and cookery theatre with many people saying it was their favourite food festival of the year. The Festival is on Saturday 9th Sept, 2017, the Born Hectic Events in partnership with the Ashburton Cookery School will once again transform St.Lawrence lane in the heart of Ashburton with over 60 stallholders lining the street offering the very best in local food & drink. At the Cookery Theatre at St Lawrence Chapel you will find an exciting programme of cookery demonstrations from local and celebrity chefs throughout the day. Festival Events won't just be limited to St. Lawrence Lane either with Ashburton's retailers, pubs and eateries getting involved in the festivities. Bring the family to the Ashburton Food & Drink Festival and help celebrate the best of Devon. We look forward to seeing you there!

What a day!

We've had loads of good feedback about the new layout and we think it was probably one of the busiest festivals in recent years.

A huge thank you to the team and stewards who made it happen, as well as all the food heros, traders and artists who shared their knowledge and talents.

And finally thanks to everyone who came down and enjoyed the day - without you, there would be no festival!

Have you ever stood at the wine section, bamboozled with choice and nervous that you're about to pick a plonker?

This Saturday at Ashburton Food Festival Susy Atkins (yes she's the one off the telly) will be arriving with six carefully selected wines 'off the beaten track' that have been curated with Jaded Palates Wines
