Bookbug was delighted to meet North East Fife Community Police, Dawn and Robert, yesterday at Dreel Halls! Thank you for coming along to share stories and songs with our group to help us learn about keeping safe, and letting us have a shot of the police siren! 🚨🚨🚨🚓

Thanks to everyone who came along to our annual Doors Open Days event at Dreel Halls on Sunday. Thanks also to our wonderful team of volunteers who provided a warm welcome, provided informative tours of the tower and served refreshments.

Sunday (6th Sept) is your annual opportunity to take a trip up our historic tower at Dreel Halls and out onto the parapet for fantastic views over Anstruther, and it looks like the weather will be behaving! We'll also have home baking and teas in the Lower Hall and displays of our ongoing projects - pop in and see us!

If you are not yet a member of the AIA you can attend individual Anster Nichts for £3 per event. AIA Membership is £10 and will allow you to attend all the 2026–27 Anster Nichts and one additional AIA event.

The Seven Witches of Torryburn
A historical drama inspired by real events from the Scottish Witch Trials.
As paranoia spreads through the small coastal village, suspicion falls upon seven local women, among them Grissell Anderson, Agnes Braun, Margaret Cowie, Margaret Dobbie, Elspeth Guild, Margaret Horne, and Christian May, who are arrested and imprisoned together in the Torryburn tolbooth. Their alleged crimes are not based on evidence but on rumours, personal grudges, and the fevered belief that witches serve the Devil.
