Brathay 10in10 2026 - Day 5 Round-Up
That's half-way, that's 5 out of 10 marathons completed for ! Day 5 is always tough, but the runners are superstars and hitting amazing milestones.
Gary Howells continues to build momentum, getting faster each day, clocking 4:16 on Day 5.
Meanwhile, John McCann is doing his third Brathay 10in10 at aged 74. Already the record-holder in the V60 and V65 categories, he's showing remarkable endurance, finishing today in 6:17.
It's worth remembering, each runner who comes in spends longer out on the course than those ahead of them, meaning less time for recovery between runs. But they all show up with the same determination and resilience, making truly special.
Unfortunately, due to injury, Olly Holroyd had to withdraw today from the event. Olly had a fantastic journey to the . Having been a Sport Rehabilitation student a few years before for the 10in10 he was inspired to run the last day marathon and then sign up to take on the 10in10 himself. We hope to see him back when he is fully recovered to take it on again!
