We were saddened to hear of the passing of Helen Hill on Friday. Helen was involved with the food festival for a number of years, organising the financial side of the events.
Tragically and unexpectedly she passed away this week. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones. Rest in peace Helen 💔

✨ Meet the Team! ✨

Next up in our series introducing the people behind Alcester Food Festival is Louise, our Director of Finance. 🍴

Louise has been part of the Alcester community since opening in 2020. With a background in accountancy and education, she brings plenty of experience to the festival board.

When she’s not keeping the finances in order, Louise enjoys running, spending time with her family and walking her two dogs.

We’re delighted to have Louise helping the festival grow. 💙

✨ Meet the Team! ✨

We want to introduce you to each member of our Board of Directors, some of the people who help make Alcester Food Festival happen!

First up is Rowan Mackenzie, our Chairman of the Board and Festival Logistics.

Rowan has called Alcester home since 2024 and quickly got involved with the festival, becoming Chair in 2025. She’s passionate about bringing people into our town, supporting our community and showcasing fantastic food and drink from Warwickshire and beyond.

When she’s not busy organising the festival, Rowan can usually be found walking her two rescue dogs 🐾, running an animal rescue charity or somehow finding time for her day job!

We’re very lucky to have her helping bring the festival to life. 💙
