Events such as this don’t magically happen.

There’s an army of volunteers working hard behind the scenes for months, before, during and after the day to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible for everyone’s enjoyment, and this is for them!

👉🏼 To the team of Scouts and those supervising them at the industrial state for the Park & Ride 🙌🏼

👉🏼 To the judges for attending and choosing winning wares from the multitude of food and drinks on offer 👍🏼

👉🏼 To the litter picking clean up crew, making sure Alcester stayed as litter free as possible 👏🏼

👉🏼 To those who gave up their time collecting things and making sure they were in the right place at the right time 👌🏼

👉🏼 To the photographers who were out capturing all the memories and the smiles made 📸

👉🏼 To the Hi-Viz heroes who were on hand from as early as 5am on the day, helping vendors set up, manning important points, dealing with enquires, helping with the close down to ensure the High Street reopened on time etc, etc ❤️

👉🏼 And to the committee, who will be enjoying a little quieter time before starting planning for next years event 💪🏼

🌾🍎 Huge congratulations to Autumn from Alcester Grammar School — winner of the Alcester Food Festival Bake Off! 🧁🏆

Autumn wowed the judges with a beautifully balanced bake made using flour from regeneratively grown LEAF Marque wheat and fruit sourced from the local Alcester Community Fridge — a fantastic celebration of sustainable farming, local produce and community spirit. 💚

The judges praised the bake for its lovely balance of flavour, noting that it was not too sweet, beautifully presented and incredibly appealing, with an understated style that allowed the quality of the ingredients to shine through. 👏

This competition was a brilliant example of young people connecting food, farming, sustainability and creativity — exactly what Countryside Classroom and LEAF are all about. Thanks to local business The Lounge at 26 who sponsored £150 prize for the winning school food department!

Well done to Autumn and to all the students who took part for showcasing such impressive talent and passion for local food! 🌱

❤️❤️ While you’re visiting us tomorrow - as well as our many amazing food, drink and food-related stalls don’t forget to visit our wonderful range of independent shops, cafes and pubs.

❤️Alcester - our shops have everything from clothes to antiques, books to gifts- and we have so many places to eat and drink 🍷🎂🍧☕️ We are proud of our bustling high street.

*IMPORTANT INFORMATION*

🚽 there are several toilet locations for your convenience on Saturday - at the Town Hall, on Centenary Field and some in the car park next to Waitrose.

🧒🏽👦🏼 For any lost children please head to the Organisers Stand (which can be found near the Church). There will constantly be a DBS holding volunteer to keep them safe. This is also where the PA system will be accessed to make any announcements.

🚑 There will be medics in attendance for anyone who may require any medical assistance on the day. They will be located near the Church by the Volunteer Stand.

We have security at either end of the festival area to help with making the day run smoothly. If you see anything suspicious or untoward please let security or one of the Marshalls know.

🦺 Our volunteers will be around on the day in Hi-Viz and equipped with a radio for any emergencies.

❤️ Alcester and leave no trace, please remove all litter.

Not sure what to wear..? We can help! 😃

The weather is (at the moment) looking quite kind for Saturday 🙌🏼 but in England that can change quickly 🫣

If it looks like it’s going to be a little chilly, a jumper and light coat will be a good idea 🧥

If it looks like there may be a drizzle, something water resistant will be good (umbrellas ☔️ will make it difficult to move around, so maybe a hat or something with a hood 🤠)

If the sun is shinning bright and it’s going to be warm then please dress for the warmer weather - a t-shirt 👚 shorts, 🩳 a sun hat 🧢 and not forgetting that SPF! 🧴

Remember to find some shade and make sure you stay hydrated 💧
