First Canadian Edition 🇨🇦🥞🫶🏻

crossed the ocean for the first time and what a way to start. As part of 30th anniversary, we teamed up with to bring together the freeride community for hands-on, real-world backcountry education rooted in avalanche safety.

The day was all about sharing knowledge, building confidence, in order to ride safer. Guided by , we moved through small-group sessions on (for the pros) and off the snow blending theory, dryland work, and practical scenarios that reflect the true realities of the mountains.

Born from real experiences and close calls, Safety Shred Days isn’t about certifications, it’s about sharpening judgment, creating habits, and understanding the terrain so we can enjoy it longer.

Grateful for everyone who showed up with open minds and good energy. SSD crew is proud and thankful for the warm welcome 👊🏻

This is just the beginning.

❄️ SAFETY DAY 2026
Plus de 200 passionnés, de tous âges et de tous niveaux, ont pu aborder la sécurité en montagne.
Au programme : ateliers pratiques sur neige encadrés par des pros, (re)découverte des gestes essentiels, approfondissement des connaissances et pour finir conférence théorique sur la gestion des risques. 🔥

More than 200 riders, of all ages and skill levels, had the opportunity to explore mountain safety. On the program: workshops, discovery of essential skills, and to wrap it up, a theoretical conference on risk management

🏔️ SAFETY PRO DAYS
Deuxième jour de formation pour nos riders pros. Grâce à nos 8 guides, plus de 30 pros riders ont pu participer aux différents ateliers pour se former et attaquer la saison sereinement.

Second day of training for our pro riders. Thanks to our guides, more than 30 professional riders were able to take part in the various workshops to prepare themselves and head into the season with confidence.

🏔️ KIDS DAYS
Premier jour lancé à Sainte-Foy 🔥❄️
Le Kids Day, c’est quoi ? Une journée avec plus de xx jeunes riders (8–16 ans) venus se former à la sécurité en montagne. Au programme : conférence théorique et ateliers pratiques pour aider nos passionnés à renforcer les bons réflexes face aux différentes situations à risque. Et pour clôturer la journée, session sur la mini-rampe avec les riders pros ! 🤯

A full day with over xx young riders (ages 8–16) coming to train in mountain safety.On the program: theoretical sessions and practical workshops to help our riders strengthen the right reflexes for different risky situations.And to wrap up the day, a session on the mini-ramp with the pro riders! 🤯

Les Riding Sessions ont parfaitement clôturé l’événement 🔥
Une journée de ride encadrée par des guides certifiés, entre le Grand Tourmalet et le Pic du Midi, pour mettre en pratique les acquis des ateliers sécurité.

Ski de rando, splitboard, freeride…
Lecture du terrain, gestion des risques, choix des lignes et progression en montagne : chacun a pu approfondir ses compétences en hors-piste et backcountry, dans un cadre sécurisé, convivial et engagé.

Une belle façon de terminer les Safety Shred Days, entre apprentissage, partage et montagne 🏔️

The Riding Sessions were the perfect way to close out the event 🔥
A full day of riding guided by certified professionals, across Grand Tourmalet and the Pic du Midi, putting the safety skills from the previous workshops into real mountain practice.
