The second semi-final challenge saw Spain and Japan go head-to-head on Friday September 1st in Bain-de-Bretagne.
Over a thousand people attended the match, which ended in a 44-12 victory for Japan.

The Japanese team set the pace during the match. Technically at ease, they played a lively, fast-paced game, scoring 7 tries during the match. They were also aggressive in defense.
The Spanish team, despite being hampered in their kick-offs, showed character and desire in this spirited match, scoring two tries, including one from an interception.
We'd like to thank both teams for their fair play in this match.
Japan will face Uzbekistan in the Challenge final on Friday September 08 in Auray. Spain will play the Netherlands in the small final on Thursday, September 07 in Paimpol.
Many thanks to Bain-de-Bretagne Rugby and the town of Bain-de-Bretagne for once again hosting a military championship match.

Uzbekistan 🇺🇿 vs New Zealand 🇳🇿
Uzbekistan and New Zealand met in Bain-de-Bretagne on Wednesday 23 August for the second round of group matches. 🔔
The match ended in a resounding 51-0 victory for the New Zealand players. In addition to their traditional haka, the New Zealanders treated the spectators to a high-level, masterful match. Their fast and precise play enabled them to easily take the lead in the first half. 💪
The Uzbeks nevertheless showed their pugnacity, particularly in the second half, and displayed some fine defensive sequences. 🏉
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday 27 August for their next group match. New Zealand will play Ireland and Uzbekistan will take on Fiji. 🫡
Let's not forget the support and investment of Bain-de-Bretagne Rugby as well as the municipality of Bain-de-Bretagne for hosting this great event. 🤩

Australia 🇦🇺 vs Netherlands 🇳🇱
Australia's crushing victory over the Netherlands at the Hippodrome de Marville in Saint-Malo 💪
The match was a one-way affair with a festival of tries from the Australian side. Sixteen tries were scored for a score of 102-0 in favour of Australia. 🥳
The Australians were keen to bounce back from their defeat to France in their opening pool match. The Dutch, who are new to the championship, did not lose out, however, and showed great tenacity and resilience throughout the match despite the scoreline.🤩
General COUËTOUX, Deputy General Officer of the Western Defence and Security Zone, travelled to Saint-Malo for the occasion.
We wish both teams the best of luck for the remainder of the tournament. The Netherlands will face France and Australia will line up against Japan for the final match before the finals. 🔔

[ 📸] Spain 🇪🇸 vs Georgia 🇬🇪

In their first appearance at the international defence rugby competition 🏉 the Spanish military team 🇪🇸 took on the Georgian team 🇬🇪, who have already taken part in the event twice, in 2019 and 2015.
The match was played to a full house at the Créac'h Gwen stadium in Quimper on Saturday 19th August. 💪
Despite all the goodwill shown by the Spanish team, the match went one way in favour of the Georgians (87-0). However, fair play and a good atmosphere were the order of the day throughout the match. 🥳
Conquerors in the scrum, quick in attack and skilful in their kicking, Georgia gave the Spanish few opportunities to express themselves, despite some recurring errors of hand on their part. The Spanish did not lose out, however, and even surprised the Georgians with a low kick that was a little too long in their in-goal during the final minutes.
Both teams will need your support on Wednesday 23 August for their next group matches. Spain will line up against Tonga while Georgia meet the United Kingdom. 🤩
