The 2025 laureate in economic sciences Philippe Aghion was born in 1956 in Paris, France. He received his PhD in 1987 from Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, USA.
He is currently a professor at Collège de France and INSEAD, Paris, France and The London School of Economics and Political Science - LSE, UK.
