Raid in France is the french leg of the adventure racing world series (ARWS). Join us in 2023 for the ARWS European Championship, from September 29 to October 1st.

ARWC 2026 is teaming up with the Parc naturel régional de Corse - Parcu di Corsica to make this edition a race worthy of the land it crosses. 🏞️

This partnership translates into concrete support across several areas:

* Technical support on the course route, ensuring a track that stays true to the territory and respectful of the natural areas it crosses 🫡
• Trail clearing operations ahead of the race, to secure and ease the passage of racers 🥾
• Hosting of the Race Control Center within the Park’s facilities, the operational hub of the event 🏘️
• Showcasing the Park and its landscapes, giving runners and spectators a chance to discover the natural and cultural richness of Corsica 😍

Racing in Corsica means crossing a preserved land, shaped over generations. This partnership reflects our commitment to building an event that respects this unique environment, working hand in hand with those who protect it every day.

In September 2025, Lane4Adventure completely dominated the 250 km ARWS European Championship, leading from start to finish on Lake Saimaa to punch their ticket straight to Corsica. 🥇

Honed in the hardcore Nordic tradition, this Finnish powerhouse is built for ultimate precision. Brothers Jaakko and Ville Mäkelä form a flawless navigation duo, backed by the unyielding engine of Mikko Sakala on mountain bike transitions and the rare endurance of elite trail runner Pauliina Pohja. 🧠

Leaving the northern lakes behind, the European champions land on the Island of Beauty with one goal: to prove that their technical mastery can conquer the highest summits and the best teams on the planet. 🏔️🦅

A World Championship held in Corsica could not come true without local representation. 📍

To ensure the host region is fully involved, the organisers of the 2026 ARWC decided to award two special invitations to Corsican teams, in partnership with the Corsican Triathlon League. This unique opportunity has generated great enthusiasm among the island’s clubs. A selection process was held, at the end of which the league’s president, Sauveur Nicolas, named the eight athletes who will represent Corsica at this global event. 🌍

We are delighted to welcome Tafuna Matata and I Triatleti Corsi to the starting line on the 1st of October 2026 in Corte. 😊

For these two teams, the ARWC 2026 will be much more than an international competition. They will have the privilege of representing their island against teams from all over the world, on a land they know better than anyone else.
For them, the adventure will not be a discovery; it will be a reunion with their own homeland. 🤜🤛

The team Bend Racing / 4 Hour Fuel has built a legendary identity: they thrive where others falter and turn chaos into their ultimate playground. 🌲❄️

Led by captain Karine Corbeil alongside veterans Jean-Yves Dionne, Alexandre Provost, and bushwhacking expert Daniel Staudigel, this North American powerhouse punched their ticket to Corsica by winning the 2025 Endless Mountains Adventure Race, hot off a brilliant 5th place at the last World Championship. 🏆🔥

They don’t look for a controlled race. In the brutal Corsican scrubland and rugged ridges, they are coming to smash the rules and forge their own path. 🏔️🦅

ARWC 2026 Corsica is about an entire island beating to the same rhythm. And the Cité Scolaire de Corte has chosen to embrace the event wholeheartedly.

They are not just spectators of the World Championship; they are making it their own, transforming it into a major collective adventure and a defining moment for the region’s young people. ❤️‍🔥

From the Parade of Nations to the Prologue, and through to the Opening Ceremony, every student will step out of the classroom and onto the world stage. The school’s cadets, young men and women preparing for careers in the armed forces, the gendarmerie and the emergency services, will also bring their commitment to the heart of the organisation. 💪

Together, they will guide us through their town and up to their iconic citadel, known as the “Eagle’s Nest”. They will share with us the very essence of Corsica: its heritage, its music and its language.

This is more than a partnership. It is a transmission, a passing of the torch between generations. The young people of Corte are ready to show the world what Corsican pride and community spirit truly mean. 💫
