The Fugitif Short Film Festival is an international competitive festival.

This event aims to offer a high-quality artistic and cultural experience in an exceptionally charming cinema in Avignon, the heart of the south of France.

The selected films will be screened in January 2026 at in Avignon: a unique, committed and warm venue where each screening is an invitation to reflect, dream and share 🌟

🎥 CALL FOR ENTRIES – THE FUGITIF SHORT FILM FESTIVAL 2025 🎥

The Fugitif Festival returns to Utopia Cinema (Avignon, France) for another international edition dedicated to short films.

2025 THEMES:

• The Night

• LGBTQIA+

• Student Films

📆 KEY DATES:

– Submissions open: April 13th

– Early deadline: May 25th (€15)

– Regular deadline: August 25rh (€20)

– Late deadline: September 8th (€25)

– Public & Jury Screenings: January 16th, 2026

All genres, all styles, all production dates accepted (2 to 25 min).

Synopsis : Marc, installé à la campagne, voit son quotidien paisible bouleversé par des sons inquiétants et inexplicables.

2. Steak

Synopsis : Une fête d’anniversaire prend une tournure dramatique après un événement tragique.

3. Via Dolorosa
Réalisation : Rachel Gutgarts 🇫🇷
Synopsis : Entre addictions, découvertes et conflit, une quête personnelle dans les rues de Jérusalem.

4. La Photographe
Réalisation : Alexander Graeff 🇫🇷
Synopsis : En 1936, Gerta Pohorylle, photoreporter en exil, brave les dangers pour couvrir la guerre civile espagnole.

5. Following Alyssa
Réalisation : Etienne Barrère 🇧🇪
Synopsis : Camille et Alyssa mettent en scène une nuit romantique factice pour impressionner leurs abonnés sur les réseaux sociaux.

Our second edition of the FUGITIF short film festival will be taking place in November 2022 at the beautiful Utopia Avignoncinema once more 🍿

Don't worry, if your film is not ready there will be a final late deadline (with a higher registration fee) on 17th July ⚡
