The third day of competition brought warm and sunny weather, which was surely appreciated by both players and spectators. As with yesterday, today’s round also started with the men. ⛳🏌️♂️
Spain’s Pablo Ereno Perez, currently ranked 47th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, shot a 66 (-6) and moved into the lead in the men’s competition. Hong Kong's Alexander Hiu Wai also delivered an impressive performance, shooting a 68 (-4) and moving up to third place. Japan’s Shohei Oda played well, carding a 69 (-3) and moving to sixth place. Spain’s Albert Boneta Cami, who performed exceptionally well on Wednesday, shot one over par and dropped to second place.
In the women’s competition, the setting is very tight as they head into the final day. The leader up until now, Spain’s Daniela Campillo Martinez, had a challenging day (+7) and dropped to third place. Italy’s Anna Zanusso, ranked 102nd in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, played a solid round of 69 (-3) and moved into the lead. Spain’s Paula Francisco Liano had the second-best round of the day with a 70 (-2), improving her position to 7th place. South Korea’s Jung Won Choi continues in second place.
In the men’s team competition, Spain leads with a clear advantage at -16, Hong Kong, China is in second place with -5, and France is in third with -3. In the women’s team competition, Italy and Spain are tied for first place with a combined score of -4, and South Korea closely follows with a score of -3.
