EuroGames in Helsinki
The EuroGames 2016 event in Helsinki will be held from 29th of June to 2nd of July 2016. HOT Helsinki welcomes all European sport clubs and individual athletes and sports fans to participate in the northern most EuroGames so far. We offer you the most professional sport events as well as interesting and memorable cultural and human rights events during the games. There will b
e at least 12 different sports in Helsinki EuroGames 2016 (badminton, basketball, bowling, dance, floorball, golf, handball, swimming, soccer, tennis, track & field, and volleyball), but more sports will be added later according to interest of participants. We are expecting all together 3 000 participants and 2 000 other visitors from all over the Europe to arrive in Helsinki. Being the neighbouring country and having good transport connections to Russia and Estonia we expect many participants from there. Schedule
Opening Ceremony will be held on Wednesday evening. Most of the sports will be on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday, the running event will take place as well as the Closing Ceremony. The Closing Ceremony will be part of the Helsinki Pride Festival. Registration
Registration to the EuroGames 2016 in Helsinki will start in the spring 2015. There will be discount prices for early registrations. Registration and hotel booking is possible only through internet.
