Join us for workshops, exhibitions, fashion shows, seminars, visits to studios and closed-for-public spaces as well as shopping. Get inside studios and spaces usually closed to the public. Every year, a team of open-minded and enthusiastic people comes together to volunteer at the festival.

While the volunteer communications team becomes our eyes and ears around the events, others take on roles as guides, hosts, backstage managers, and helping hands in building the festival.

Wild Mushroom Bar by Sami Tallberg🍄‍🟫

To celebrate the early September harvest, Helsinki Design Week is bringing award-winning chef and author Sami Tallberg’s Wild Mushroom Bar by Sami Tallberg to the city centre. Inspired by Madrid’s renowned mushroom restaurant El Cisne Azul, the pop-up street kitchen focuses exclusively on wild mushrooms and will open at Aleksanterinkatu 9, in front of Kluuvi.

Open to the public for just four days, 2–5 September from 12 noon to 7 pm.💫

Wild Mushroom Bar is a collaboration between several creative partners. The project brings together designer Lauri Johansson, graphic designer Ilkka Kärkkäinen, and companies Metos Finland, Vaarnii , Durat and saas instruments . The event is also made possible by Kluuvi , which is providing the space and supporting the collaboration.

Psst...If the seats are occupied, you can also use the neighbouring HDW Lab for eating, while getting to explore the space’s exhibition at the same time.❤️
