Tuesday Night Hop LIVE on 7 April marks the second-to-last live music night of the spring—don’t miss The Lindström 9 on stage!

The arrangements of Finnish jazz legend Erik Lindström—also the first honorary member of Perinnejazz ry—have been brought back to life by an all-star ensemble of the country’s top musicians, after decades of silence.

Saxophonist Johannes Salomaa has assembled The Lindström 9, a team that pays tribute to this great figure of Finnish music while keeping his legacy alive for future generations. Expect authentic swing and dance music from the 1930s and 1940s—revived through the arrangements of Erik “Eki” Lindström!

Let’s welcome Tanssiorkesteri Humu, a Helsinki-based band playing swinging jazz rooted in the dance-band tradition. Their repertoire includes jazz standards from the 1920s–1960s and beyond, inspired by artists like Nancy Wilson, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, and Eartha Kitt.

Humu is a relatively new band, and our weekly dance is also about opening the floor for new musicians in the swing scene. Let’s give them a warm swing dancer welcome! 💃✨🕺

Barbeque is an 9-piece big band–style jazz orchestra founded in 2002. Featuring vocalist Erja Uitto, the ensemble includes a brass section and rhythm group. Formed by experienced musicians active in a wide range of concerts and venues, the band brings jazz and swing to the dance floor.

All music lovers and dancers from beginners to experienced are welcome to join the event!
