𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐓 brings together the best small roasters and quality oriented coffee enthusiasts from all around Finland ☕️🔥🇫🇮

It’s a one-day 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐳𝐚™️ where absolutely everyone into coffee gets to taste ludicrous amounts of best coffees out there atm while roasters share their craft 🤩

At the very first 𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐓 in 2025 our visitors gave us praise for the nerd-friendly vibes and roastery selection! It will be our main focus again this year to curate and bring you the most inreresting and high-end roastery selection ☕️🏆

Ok, we may have bamboozled you with Messukeskus as this year’s venue and Toast Fest being a thing (though many of you liked it, us included 🍞) there’s one thing that wasn’t an April Fool’s joke:

We’re excited to take the event to 𝗪𝐚𝐧𝐡𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐚 at the maritime district of Katajanokka just east east of the city center! This venue will allow us to host the Best roasteries from around Finland, cutting edge stage program and well curated Masterclasses - and more 🤩🙌

Helsinki Coffee Week is taking the super successful Roast Fest concept to the BIG stage in 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐤𝐞𝐬𝐤𝐮𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 in Helsinki ☕️🔥

On September 26th, we will fill the country’s biggest venue with over 100 roasteries from around Finland and the whole world 🤩

With this, 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭 will expand to feature a myriad of other roasted crops such as cocoa, almonds and corn. We believe that this will bring us even more opportunities to talk roasting and learn from more developed industries 🔥

𝟑𝟎 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐂𝐀𝐅𝐄𝐒 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 ✨☕️🏆

As the year is coming to an end, there isn’t really a better time to reminisce the 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚 and 𝟑𝟎 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐬 award ceremony that took place at the 𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐓 venue after the show 🪩🕺💃

The night consisted of magic show and music performance by .fr - and giving recognition to some of the best players in our industry ✨

The list of top 30 cafés in Finland for 2025 was gathered through a form that was sent to Specialty Coffee professionals around the country from baristas to roasters and technicians to sales people. The goal for 30 Best Cafes vote has always been to put together a list that answers the question:

”Where do coffee professionals think the besy coffee and experience is served?”

In addition to the Top 30 listing, we also gave out special nominations in three categories:

Just a few of the comments we got when our Communication Manager Tilda pulled random people from guests to exhibitors aside for a little interview at first ever 𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐓 🔥🪩

Based on visitor survey, you guys appreciated:

🙌 Community Vibes - at moments, it felt like literally everyone from Finnish specialty coffee scene was there, under the same roof and up for discussion over tasty coffees

🔥 The amount of roasteries - Roast Fest was to this date one of the biggest specialty coffee roastery gatherings ever seen in Finland!

🏆 Amazing coffees and knowledge sharing - not only were there fantastic coffees varying from traditional to new and experimental stuff, our guests really appreciated the opportunity to talk to roasters that were eager to share their knowledge and tips!

We can’t believe it’s already been two weeks since the very first ROAST FEST took place in Kattilahalli, Helsinki 😱

The day was filled with fantastic coffees, 20 amazing roasters from around Finland and the world as well as world class Masterclasses, inspiring Main Stage talks, Finnish Moccamaster Championship, signature drinks and countless interactiond between people who share a great passion for coffee ☕️✨

Thank you so much for all the sponsors, rosteries and visitors for making our vision of this new kind of coffee event into reality - this was just the beginning 🫶🏼👀

𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐄 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 🔥🏆⁣

In conjunction with 𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐓, we hosted the sixth annual 𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐄 competition 🔥🏆⁣
⁣
In this competition, 12 roasteries were sent the one and same green (unroasted) coffee and the roasters had 3-4 weeks to figure it out and roast it as well as they could 🧑‍🔬⁣
⁣
On Friday the 24th, one day before 𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐓 we gathered all these 12 roasters to blind evaluate each others samples and rank them from best to worst - not knowing which sample was their own 🤯⁣

The roasters were looking for sweet and balanced cup with minimal roasting defects out of this Brazillian coffee provided by our Green Coffee Sponsor .coffee 🔍⁣

The results were published at the Afternoon Session of 𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐓 on the Main Stage and the winner for 2025 Roasters Challenge was with as the first runner up and the second runner up 🥳🏆⁣
⁣

The first ever 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭 was first and foremost the ultimate gathering of the Finnish Specialty Coffee community - from professionals to beginners and from roasters to enthusiasts 🤩⁣
⁣
We had 18 amazing roasteries from around Finland represented as well as Paper Mill from Tallinn and Legendary Everyday from Bucharest 🇪🇪🇷🇴⁣

These roasters, who represent the very peak of the art of turning green beans brown, offered well over 100 different coffees to the crowd that had come to Kattilahalli one agenda in mind - to taste and explore the coffees these roasteries had to offer - while enjoying the cool community vibes we all created 🫶🏻⁣

ROAST FEST 2025 🔥🪩

I mean, what can we say? THANK YOU, perhaps? It just doesn’t seem to cover what we’re feeling after the weekend 🥹🫶🏻

On Saturday 25th, the Finnish coffee community gathered together under the same roof with 20 roasteries from across the country and beyond ☕️

There were competitions on Moccamaster Stage, open cup tastings at the Cupping table, workshops at Masterclass balcony and inspiring talks on the Main Stage ✨

But above all, there were YOU! Since the very moment we opened the doors at 10:00 there was such sense of community and we believe it was very easy to everyone feel that they belonged to this coffee family 🫶🏻

Roast Fest 2025 may be over but according to huge amount of feedback we’ve gotten - this was just the beginning 👀🔥
