About Heavy Metal Heart Festival

Heavy Metal Heart Festival was arranged for the very first time in 2o06 as and idea to bring together already famous metal bands and more marginal ones, and like this offer a perfect combination of both familiar and new to the festival audience.

The first seven HMH Festivals were arranged in Spain, and the festival was already an annual must-go-event to many Spanish metalheads. Big names like S***m (DE), Tankard (DE), Destruction (DE) and Moonsorrow (FIN) shined as headliners under the Spanish sun.

2014 was the year of change. Heavy Metal Heart Festival moved to Helsinki, Finland and it was time to begin everything from point zero. HMH8 and HMH9 were smaller events with only marginal bands but as 2016 was the 1oth Anniversary of the festival HMH10 had to be something bigger. Battle Beast (FIN), Profane Omen (FIN) and Scar Symmetry (SWE) joined the line-up among six great rising metal bands, and after this there was no turning back. Since then HMH Festival has maintained the same structure, and little by little achieved more attention.

Now in 2019 Heavy Metal Heart Festival is doing better than ever and continues to cherish the same idea of offering a big stage for still unknown but potential and talented metal bands alongside bigger headliners. Every year we receive hundreds of band applications from all over the world and eventhough we are able to share only a few slots by year, we are happy to get to know so many new talents. Some of these bands might be the huge stars of tomorrow!
