Guide for a car guy. Also useful if you are with your girldfriend.
Trocadéro. The Esplanade du Trocadéro was built for the 1937 World’s Fair. The view of the Eiffel Tower from here is the most iconic in Paris.
Champ-de-Mars. Golden hour at Champ de Mars. The kind of light that makes a 35-year-old Porsche look like it was built yesterday.
Petit Palais. Paris has been building beautiful things for centuries. We just showed up with ours.
Louvre. 35,000 works of art inside. One outside that drives itself home.
Pont Alexandre III. Built in 1896 to celebrate the Franco-Russian alliance. Gold statues, gilded lampposts, and a 964 Carrera 2. Alexandre III would have approved.
Arc de Triomphe. Napoleon ordered it built in 1806 to honor his armies. It took 30 years to finish. He never saw it completed. The 964 made it in 4 days from Madrid.
Place Vendôme. Built by Louis XIV in 1699. Home to Chopin’s last apartment, the Ritz, and this morning — a 964 Carrera 2 from Madrid.
Pont de Bir-Hakeim. Inception was filmed here. Last Tango in Paris too. This morning it was just the 964 and nobody else.
Rue de Monttessuy. 1,200km from Madrid to find this street at sunrise. Every kilometer was worth it.
Notre-Dame. 856 years old. Back standing.
