Teatro Off Latina is officially on board. The lineup of stages keeps growing.

And the biggest news? We have two absolute legends joining us as the godfathers of this year’s festival Santiago Iturralde and Alberto Closas. An honour we don’t take lightly. 🙏

A special thanks to Teatro Amaya, now reborn as Linia Cultural Teatral thank you for being part of this journey from the start.

And a massive shoutout to the godfathers of our first edition, Sergio Pazos and Javier Losán you set the bar high and we haven’t forgotten it. 🖤

He had a job. A stable one. And he left it all behind. 🎤

Joseph talks about the moment he decided to follow his dream and become an actor and comedian. Not because it was easy, but because staying felt empty.

A real artist cannot ignore what is inside. And he didn’t.

We see you Joseph, and we wish you nothing but the best. 🙌

And next edition he is coming with a full hour in English. Do not miss it. 👀

You’re right, sorry about that. Here it is:

Madrid is his city. 🇪🇸

Joseph talks about what it means to grow up here and how this place shaped who he is today.

Joseph Ewonde was there at the last edition and he has things to say about it 👀

Joseph Ewonde Jr. shares what it was like to be part of Madrid Comedy Festival and what that experience meant to him.

Meet Joseph Ewonde Jr. 🎤

Actor, comedian, martial artist. This guy does it all and he does it in English and Spanish.

He has been part of some big Spanish productions, from TV shows to films, and now he is stepping into the comedy world in a big way.

We are honored to have him as part of the Madrid Comedy Festival family. Trust us, you want to know this guy.

She’s moving to Madrid in June. 🎉

Yes, you heard that right. Rachel Arieff is coming to stay, and we could not be more excited to welcome her into the community.

From now on she will be part of the Madrid Comedy Festival family and honestly Madrid is getting a very good deal here.

Welcome Rachel, we are so happy to have you. 🙏🎤

Last year Rachel arieff shouted Free Palestine from the stage. In this clip she goes even deeper.

Rachel talks about Zi$nism, how it works, and why so many Jewish people grow up surrounded by it without ever questioning it. Coming from a Jewish woman herself, these words hit different.

At Madrid Comedy Festival we stand clear. Anti Zi$nist, pro humanity, Free Palestine. 🇵🇸

Jewish women like Rachel who speak up give us all hope.

Thank you ❤️

Last Madrid Comedy Festival edition, Rachel Arieff stopped and shouted Free Palestine.

As a Jewish woman, that takes a different kind of courage. And we see it. We feel it.

Thank you Rachel, for your humanity, for your voice, and for never looking away when it matters most. 🇵🇸

And we have a surprise for you… the next edition Rachel comes with a very special show called Free Palestine. Stay tuned 👀

Rachel arieff started doing stand-up in the 90s, sharing stages with some of the biggest names in comedy.

And at some point she just switched to Spanish. Completely. And Catalan too.

It takes a lot of guts to leave your language behind and make people laugh in someone else’s. But that’s Rachel, she loves a challenge.

She told Madrid Comedy Festival How did she get there?

18/05/2026

Rachel Arieff 🎤

An American stand-up comic who packed up her life, moved to Barcelona, and started doing comedy in Spanish. And Catalan. Oh, and English too, because why not.

She’s been making Spain laugh for over 20 years, from small clubs to Paramount Comedy, and now she’s one of the few comics with 3 shows at the in Madrid last week.🎭

We sat down with her to talk about her latest one, Mi Vida a la Carta, and what it’s actually like to be a foreigner making locals laugh in their own language.

She’s also part of the Madrid Comedy Festival. You don’t want to miss this one.
