🇪🇸🇬🇧 En la entrada del recinto, parte de nuestro equipo construyó una instalación inspirada en la boca de una mina: un umbral de acceso que funciona como gesto simbólico, pero también como homenaje material al trabajo que sostiene la historia de Barruelo de Santullán.
La pieza fue levantada con chopos de la zona, y se compone de pies derechos laterales, vigas de coronación, travesaños, costillas interiores y listones de cierre, generando una sensación de túnel, avance y descenso.
La construcción de la boca de mina busca recordar los oficios que hicieron posible la vida bajo tierra, y la industria del pueblo, no solo los mineros que extraían el carbón, sino también quienes preparaban, reforzaban y mantenían la infraestructura de las galerías: carpinteros de mina, entibadores y trabajadores encargados de sostener los túneles y proteger el paso.
Nuestra intención era que sirviera de transición: del exterior al recinto, del presente a la memoria industrial, de la superficie a un espacio donde música, territorio e historia vuelven a encontrarse.

At the entrance to Veta, part of our team built an installation inspired by the mouth of a mine: a threshold that works as a symbolic gesture, but also as a material tribute to the labour behind the history of Barruelo de Santullán.
The piece was built using poplar trees from the area, and is made up of lateral uprights, crown beams, crosspieces, inner ribs and closing slats, creating the feeling of a tunnel, of movement forward and descent.
The construction of the mine entrance seeks to honour the trades that made life underground possible, and the industrial history of the village: not only the miners who extracted the coal, but also those who prepared, reinforced and maintained the infrastructure of the galleries: mine carpenters, timbermen and workers responsible for supporting the tunnels and keeping the passage safe.
Our intention was for it to act as a transition: from the outside into the festival site, from the present into industrial memory, from the surface into a space where music, territory and history meet again.
