✨ Introducing the LLUM Award — the new official trophy of the Love & Hope International Film Festival – Barcelona.

“Llum” means light in Catalan, and this award represents the heart of cinema: the light that brings stories to life, the passion of independent filmmakers, and the hope that connects audiences around the world.

Inspired by Barcelona, the design features a flame, La Sagrada Família, a film strip, a heart, and a guiding star — each element representing creativity, cinema, love, hope, and artistic excellence.

After seven years of celebrating international independent cinema, the LLUM Award is finally born.

It will be presented during our epic Gala Awards Dinner on the final night of the festival. Oct 17, 2026

Love and Hope International Film Festival – Barcelona takes place October 14–17, 2026, but this year we’re starting the celebration one day early with a special Welcome Event on October 13.

We’re excited to announce that DJ ÆDEL Malin Ähdel 🐬 will be back with us this year as both a Jury Member and the Official Resident DJ of Love and Hope International Film Festival – Barcelona 2026.

After joining us last year as part of the jury and as DJ for our events, she returns once again to judge films — and this time she’s coming straight from Sweden exclusively to be with us for all four days of the festival.

From October 14–17, DJ ÆDEL will be bringing the music, energy, and atmosphere throughout the festival and keeping the good vibes going for filmmakers, guests, and our international community.

Four days of cinema, networking, celebration, and music — and DJ ÆDEL will be right there with us.
