Rossocinabro Barcelona - There is a moment when art stops being an object and becomes a question. The second edition of Barcelona Contemporary is born precisely at that moment. Through the folds of the body and the light of new urban landscapes, this exhibition invites visitors to stop “searching for themselves” and start “inventing themselves.”
Every selected work is a heartbeat of a collective research, a bridge between Barcelona’s vibrant metropolitan aesthetic and the deepest introspection. Come and discover the narratives, the surprising techniques, and the stories of artists who are not afraid to be “different and therefore unique.” Identity is a work of art in progress: come and watch it come to life.
Leading this collective exploration is a selection of international talents bringing visual languages to Barcelona from every corner of the globe.
The beating heart of this edition is the solo exhibition by Paweł Opaliński titled “In My Dreamland”. An award-winning artist and prominent figure in the global Fine Art Photography scene, Opaliński presents a body of work that redefines the boundaries of contemporary photography. Through projects such as “Structures of Time” and “War in the 5th Dimension,” the artist utilizes experimental techniques and long exposures to create an abstract visual code. As Opaliński himself states, his “dreamland” is a reflection on our role in the universe—an ideal world simply because it is the only one we have, where the visible merges with pure emotion.
The appointment with this synergy of visions is set for May 9th to 17th, 2026. We look forward to seeing you on May 9th starting at 6:00 PM to celebrate the present and anticipate the future of contemporary art.
