Estamos encantados de anunciar la segunda edición del Festival Ciudad Jardín Alt Empordà. Desde el jueves 24 al domingo 27 de Agosto de 2017, este festival de arte contemporáneo mostrará obras de video arte y tecnología creativa en diferentes pueblos y villas del Alt Empordà, rodeados de naturaleza. Durante el evento de tres días, esta parte de la Costa Brava, donde muchos artistas e intelectu
ales han encontrado inspiración, se transformará en un espacio donde el arte y la naturaleza estarán en perfecta alineación. Es por esto que estamos invitando artistas para compartir la experiencia que ya vivieron en esta zona otros creadores contemporáneos, como Salvador Dalí, los miembros del movimiento de La Gauche Divine o Terenci Moix. El programa ofrecerá arte contemporáneo en general, haciendo especial hincapié en las disciplinas antes mencionadas. Una deliciosa manera, en nuestra opinión, para decir adiós al verano, y para volver a la rutina diaria de la vida laboral con renovado vigor! FILOSOFÍA Y OBJETIVOS
El festival continua la labor de Ozz Barcelona, una comunidad creativa que está comprometida con el movimiento slow, mediante la promoción y el fomento del arte y la creatividad. La propuesta de reunir artistas en una ubicación única y privilegiada de Cataluña, como Alt Empordà, llega con la esperanza de propiciar nuevas formas de expresión a través del networking; un proceso continuo de intercambio y creación en en perfecta armonía con la naturaleza. La misión de Ozz Barcelona es crear un marco en el que los artistas colaboren y experimenten, creando obras que sirvan para concienciar y educar al público en general sobre la importancia de proteger el medio ambiente. La segunda edición del festival será una exploración de procesos y posibilidades, con el fin de establecer un programa de incentivos internacional, que incluye residencias en la localidad de Ventalló para los artistas, cuyo trabajo servirá de impulso para futuras ediciones del festival. From Thursday, the 24th through to Sunday, the 27th of August 2017 this contemporary art festival is showing video art and creative technology against the backdrop of the idyllic villages, towns and beautiful nature in Alt Empordà. During the three day event, this part of the Costa Brava, where many artists and intellectuals have found inspiration, will once more transform itself into a space where art and nature are in perfect alignment. By this we are inviting artists from all walks of life to share in the experience of other locals like Salvador Dalí, the members of La Gauche Divine or Terenci Moix. The programme will feature contemporary art, mainly in above-mentioned disciplines, arranged to give joy for the locals as well as the visitors of the area and all the art lovers which would be willing to become the part of the Festival. A delightful way, in our view, to say goodbye to the summer, and to return to the daily humdrum of working life with renewed vigour! INSPIRATION AND GOALS
The festival stems from the work of Ozz Barcelona, a creative community which is committed to the slow movement, by promoting art and fostering creativity. The proposal for a meeting of artists in a unique and privileged location of Catalunya like Alt Empordà comes with the hope that new forms of expression will emerge - a work in progress enhanced by the beautiful surroundings. The mission of Ozz Barcelona is to create a framework for artists to collaborate and experiment, with the long term purpose of educating the general public about the importance of protecting the environment. The second edition of the festival will be the continuity of an exploration of processes and possibilities, with a view to establishing an international awards programme, which includes residencies in the village of Ventalló for artists, whose work will provide the impetus for the coming editions of the festival.
