4th Barcelona Soul Ballroom Northern Soul Allnighter … MEET THE DJ!
Introducing: Donna Driscoll
I’ve been collecting original vinyl for over 20 years — mostly northern soul, 60’s R&B, mod soul, Latin and boogaloo. My roots are in the mod scene, riding to different weekenders and events all over the UK every weekend on my scooter.
I currently co-run Soul at the Ritzy, a regular original rare soul night in Brixton. I’m one of three resident DJs.
My sets usually lean towards up-tempo dancers, big vocals, and tunes that lift the room. I’ve always loved dancing, so I tend to play whatever I’d want to dance to next.
I’ve been lucky to play at some brilliant events over the years, including the 100 Club, the Rivoli Ballroom, Chez 66, Dreamsville, soul stompers, Crawdaddy and Cookin’ Catfish, to name a few in the UK. I’ve also DJed at some wonderful events in Europe. I’m completely over-excited and humbled at being asked to DJ in Barcelona.
