To participate in a competition means something different for each dancer, but also as a dancer and organizer, to see people competing it's a great source of inspiration. Competitions for us means a big generosity. We want to say thanks to all competitors 👯💃🕺 from 2026 edition, thanks for sharing with everybody your energy, your happiness and your talent, thanks for make competitions something positive. 🥰

Straight from the heart of the Swedish swing scene, Mimmi Gunnarsson is bringing her incredible energy to Winter’s Back! As a member of the legendary Harlem Hot Shots, Mimmi is a master of the 'raw and playful' style that defined the original era of Lindy Hop and Authentic Jazz. Inspired by the classic films of the 1930s and 40s, her dancing is a beautiful tribute to the spirit of The Spirit Moves and the Whitey’s Lindy Hoppers. Whether she’s sharing her technique or her infectious joy, Mimmi’s classes are a soulful journey into the roots of the dance. We can’t wait for her to share her passion with all of you!
Bringing a refreshing and wonderfully eccentric energy to WBSF, we welcome the legendary Fredrik Dahlberg! A standout member of the Harlem Hot Shots and a master of 'boneless' movement, Fredrik blends his background in hip-hop with a deep, authentic love for Lindy Hop, Charleston, and Solo Jazz. He’s a true jazz man through and through — not only winning top awards on the dance floor but also leading his own band on the trumpet. We are so excited to welcome Karl "Swinghappy" Brochard to the Winter’s Back family! A nomadic spirit with roots in Paris, Karl brings a unique and soulful blend of Hip-hop, Afrodance, and Swing to our Círculo Industrial dance floor. While his competition wins at Jazz Roots and ILHC speak to his skill, his true passion lies in honoring the African American culture behind the dance and empowering students through a pedagogy of "learning how to learn" rather than simple memorization.
