El plazo de inscripción para el VII Certamen Internacional de Guitarra de Barcelona Miquel Llobet – Composición finaliza el próximo 1 de junio de 2026.

El certamen está abierto a compositores de cualquier edad y nacionalidad y continúa consolidándose como una de las plataformas internacionales más activas para la nueva creación guitarrística.

🏆 PREMIOS:
• Primer Premio: 1.000 €, Diploma Honorífico, grabación en video y estreno de la obra en el festival Art Llobet o Les Garrigues Guitar Festival. Además, la obra ganadora será pieza obligatoria en la semifinal de la siguiente edición del Certamen Llobet de Interpretación.
• Segundo Premio: 500 € y Diploma Honorífico.
• Posibilidad de Mención Especial del Jurado.

El fallo del jurado se anunciará el 1 de julio de 2026.

🎶 We are delighted to announce José Río-Pareja as the final member of the jury for the 2026 Miquel Llobet International Guitar Competition – Composition Section.

José Río-Pareja (Barcelona, 1973) is a Spanish composer and professor of composition at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC). He completed his higher studies in composition and conducting at the Conservatori Superior de Barcelona and earned a doctorate in composition from Stanford University, where he studied with leading figures of contemporary music.

His works have been performed by renowned international soloists and ensembles and have received numerous awards and commissions. His catalogue includes chamber music, orchestral works, and compositions for a wide range of instrumental forces, noted for their structural rigor and intense musical expressiveness.

We warmly encourage composers from around the world to participate in the competition and submit new works for classical guitar.

🏆 First Prize: €1,000, Honorary Diploma, premiere performance and professional video recording of the winning work, and inclusion as the compulsory semifinal piece in the next Llobet Interpretation Competition.

🏆 Second Prize: €500 and Honorary Diploma.

📅 Application deadline: June 1, 2026

Miguel Trápaga (Cantabria, 1967) is a Spanish classical guitarist of international renown and a professor at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid. He studied at the conservatories of Santander and Madrid, later continuing his training with distinguished guitar masters.

He has performed in numerous countries throughout Europe, Asia, the Americas and Oceania, and has made recordings for radio, television and various record labels. Alongside his concert activity, he pursues an intense pedagogical career, teaching masterclasses and courses at conservatories and international festivals.

Maria Linnemann (Amsterdam, 1947) is a composer and music educator based in Germany, internationally renowned for her extensive output for classical guitar. She studied conducting, piano and violin at the Royal Academy of Music in London and, after discovering the guitar in the 1970s, devoted much of her career to composing for the instrument, creating more than five hundred works ranging from educational pieces to chamber music. Her works are published by leading European music publishers and are regularly performed in conservatories and concert halls worldwide.
Throughout her career she has given masterclasses, taken part in international festivals and served on juries of guitar competitions. Her music is characterized by clear, expressive and accessible writing, which has contributed to its wide dissemination both in educational contexts and in the professional repertoire.
