Este verano, la 4ta edición del Ono Zone International Music Festival, recordará la vida y obra del maestro Tadashi Maeda.
Tadashi fue uno de los principales coordinadores de este festival y queremos dedicar esta edición en su nombre, por todo su apoyo al festival y su esfuerzo para la expansión de la música ecuatoriana.

This summer, the 4th edition of the Ono Zone International Music Festival, will honor the life and work of Maestro Tadashi Maeda.
Tadashi was one of the main coordinators of this festival and we want to dedicate this edition in his name, for all his support for the festival and his effort for the expansion of Ecuadorian music.

Pablo and Carlos are the 8th performers of the night
Our music director, Pablo Esteban Valladares, will be part of the Live Youth Concert this Sunday, tomorrow August 9th, which includes young musicians from various universities around the world. Together with Carlos Raul Lozano they will present the Romanza Op. 85 for viola and orchestra by Max Bruch, German composer who in addition to being a composer, was a conductor of orchestra.

De la mano del compositor Ecuatoriano Rolando Valladares, presentamos una version para voz, piano, bajo y percusion interpretado por musicos de larga trayectoria como son Carlos "Pantera" Pizarro, músico Colombiano radicado en Ecuador por muchos años y de la mano de la increible y joven cantante Daniela Franchesca representando a República Dominicana, quienes junto a nuestro director musical Pablo Esteban Valladares, han logrado grabar este tema. Esta nueva version de la famosa bomba Ecuatoriana escrita por Milton Tadeo Carcelén presenta un aire moderno de tan conocida obra, que viene a ser un icono del genero.
Agradecimiento especial a Daniela Franchesca por su hermosa voz en este proyecto.
From the hand of the Ecuadorian composer Rolando Valladares, here we present an arrangement for voice, piano, bass and percussion performed by musicians with a long career such as Carlos "Pantera" Pizarro, a Colombian musician based in Ecuador for many years and by the hand of the incredible and young singer Daniela Franchesca representing the Dominican Republic, who together with our musical director Pablo Esteban Valladares, have managed to record this song. This new version of the famous Ecuadorian Bomba written by Milton Tadeo Carcelén presents a modern air of such a well-known work, which becomes an icon of the genre.
Special thanks to Daniela Franchesca for her beautiful voice on this project.

Born in South Korea, pianist Seyoung Park has made numerous appearances as recitalist and collaborative pianist in the United States and Korea. Seyoung started playing the piano at age seven. At the age of eleven, she attended the institution for young talented musician at Seoul Art Center. She had her orchestra debut at thirteen, performing “Saint-Saens Piano Concerto No.2” with the Jeonju Symphony Orchestra. She won prizes at many competitions including Eumaksekye competition and Eumyoun competition in Korea. Her performances include playing at Steinway Series in 2018 Late Beethoven Sonata Series and in 2019 series of Art of Fugue. She is currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Piano Performance at the UMKC Conservatory with a teaching assistantship and studies under Dr. Thomas Rosenkranz.

The OnoZone International Music Festival is held every summer in the city of Quito, Ecuador. For five days, instructors and students come together from around the world to share and collaborate on best musical practices, participate in master classes and private lessons, and perform for Quito audiences.
Our main focus is to enhance the importance of music education, create cultural and musical experiences for our participants, and promote beauty to the Quito community. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from and create connections with international artists in a highly professional environment.
OnoZone’s faculty and guest artists are renowned musicians and professors with vast experience in their fields. Spanning from Russia to Germany to China, our instructors have lived, studied, and performed around the globe. They have earned notable honors such as the receiving first place in the Felix Bartholdy-Mendelssohn Competition and presenting premiere performances at every World Saxophone Congress since 2003.
Our faculty allows us to set a high standard for learning and we aim to provide our students with an outstanding education in a positive yet challenging environment. We aspire to connect fellow musicians from many different backgrounds and strongly encourage our participants to use the festival to build relationships with professors and students for further performance and education opportunities.
The OnoZone team is comprised of professional musicians and technicians with experience in music performance, education, marketing and audio engineering. We strive to bring new projects and concepts to the forefront of the festival each year to create a better experience for our faculty, participants and audiences.
