ببالغ الحزن والأسى، وبعميق التأثر، تلقّى المهرجان الدولي للشريط المرسوم بالجزائر (FIBDA) نبأ وفاة محفوظ عيدر، أحد أبرز وأعرق الأسماء في تاريخ الشريط المرسوم والكاريكاتير الجزائري.
وُلد محفوظ عيدر في 9 نوفمبر 1951 بالجزائر العاصمة ، وكرّس أكثر من نصف قرن من حياته للفن التاسع. كان رسامًا ومؤلفًا للشريط المرسوم ورسّام كاريكاتير متميزًا، وعضوًا في المجلة الشهيرة "امقيدش" (M’quidech)، كما كان من الأعضاء المؤسسين للمجلة الساخرة الأسطورية "المنشار" (El Manchar)، التي ساهم بشكل كبير في صياغة هويتها الفنية والتحريرية. وبفضل أسلوبه المتفرّد، وروحه الفكاهية الراقية، ونظرته النقدية العميقة للمجتمع، رسّخ مكانته كأحد الروّاد الحقيقيين وأحد أعمدة الشريط المرسوم الجزائري.
ظلّ محفوظ عيدر رفيقًا وفيًا للمهرجان الدولي للشريط المرسوم بالجزائر، حيث رافق الفيبدا على مدار سنوات طويلة. وقد شارك في العديد من الدورات بصفته عضوًا في لجنة تحكيم مسابقات الشريط المرسوم، وكان ضمن لجنة تحكيم دورة 2026، واضعًا خبرته الواسعة، وحسّه الفني الرفيع، وحرصه على تشجيع المواهب، في خدمة اكتشاف ومرافقة الأجيال الجديدة من المبدعين. واعترافًا بإسهاماته الكبيرة في خدمة الفن التاسع الجزائري، حرص الفيبدا على تكريمه في أكثر من مناسبة، تثمينًا لمسيرته الاستثنائية والتزامه الدائم بالدفاع عن الشريط المرسوم الجزائري.
بفضل أعماله، وتواضعه، وسخائه، وإيمانه الراسخ بأهمية نقل المعرفة والخبرة، يترك محفوظ عيدر إرثًا فنيًا وإنسانيًا لا يُقدّر بثمن. وستظل مسيرته مصدر إلهام لكل من يؤمن بأن الرسم والفكاهة والإبداع أدواتٌ لترسيخ الثقافة، وصون الذاكرة، وتعزيز قيم الحرية.
غادرنا محفوظ عيدر في جويلية 2026، وووري الثرى في مقبرة سيدي يحيى بالجزائر العاصمة، تاركًا فراغًا كبيرًا في قلوب الأسرة الكبيرة للشريط المرسوم الجزائري.
وفي هذا المصاب الجلل، يتقدم محافظ المهرجان وكافة أعضاء اللجنة المنظمة للمهرجان الدولي للشريط المرسوم بالجزائر (FIBDA) بأصدق عبارات الحزن والأسى أمام هذا الفقد الذي أصاب الأسرة الفنية والثقافية الجزائرية بأسرها.
كما يتقدمون بأحرّ التعازي وأصدق مشاعر المواساة إلى زوجته، وأبنائه، وكافة أفراد عائلته، وأقاربه، ورفاق دربه، وإلى جميع من عرفوه أو عملوا إلى جانبه أو أحبّوا فنه وأعماله.
سيبقى اسم محفوظ عيدر خالدًا في تاريخ الشريط المرسوم الجزائري، وفي ذاكرة الفيبدا، الذي فقد اليوم ليس فقط فنانًا كبيرًا، بل صديقًا وفيًا، وإنسانًا نبيلًا، وأحد البنّائين الحقيقيين لذاكرتنا وتراثنا الثقافي.
رحم الله الفقيد وأسكنه فسيح جناته، وإنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون.
Mahfoud Aider Has Passed Away (1951–2026)
It is with profound sadness and deep emotion that the Algiers International Comics Festival (FIBDA) has learned of the passing of Mahfoud Aider, one of the most iconic and respected figures in Algerian comics and editorial cartooning.
Born on 9 November 1951 in central Algiers, Mahfoud Aider devoted more than half a century of his life to the Ninth Art. A gifted illustrator, comic book author, and cartoonist, he was a member of the renowned M’quidech magazine and one of the founding members of the legendary satirical publication El Manchar, to which he gave a lasting artistic and editorial identity. Through his distinctive style, subtle sense of humor, and insightful social commentary, he established himself as one of the true pioneers and senior masters of Algerian comics.
A loyal friend of the Algiers International Comics Festival, Mahfoud Aider accompanied FIBDA for many years. He served on several occasions as a member of the jury for the festival's comics competitions, including the 2026 edition, placing his extensive experience, artistic rigor, and generosity at the service of discovering and mentoring new generations of comic artists. In recognition of his outstanding contribution to Algerian comics, FIBDA paid tribute to him on several occasions, celebrating his remarkable career and his unwavering commitment to the development of the Algerian comic art scene.
Through his work, humility, generosity, and dedication to passing on his knowledge, Mahfoud Aider leaves behind an invaluable artistic and human legacy. His life's work will remain an enduring source of inspiration for all who believe in the power of drawing, humor, and creativity as vehicles for culture, freedom, and collective memory.
Mahfoud Aider passed away in July 2026 and was laid to rest at Sidi Yahia Cemetery in Algiers. His passing leaves an immense void within the great family of Algerian comics.
At this time of mourning, the Festival Commissioner and the entire organizing committee of the Algiers International Comics Festival (FIBDA) express their deepest sorrow over this loss, which affects the whole Algerian artistic and cultural community.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife, his children, his entire family, his relatives, his lifelong companions, and to all those who had the privilege of knowing him, working alongside him, or admiring his remarkable work.
The name Mahfoud Aider will forever remain engraved in the history of Algerian comics and in the memory of FIBDA, which today has lost not only a great artist, but also a loyal friend, a man of exceptional dignity, and one of the builders of our national cultural heritage.
May God have mercy on the deceased and grant him a place in the vastness of His Paradise. Indeed, we belong to God, and to Him we shall return.
Mahfoud Aider vient de nous quitter (1951–2026)
C'est avec une immense tristesse et une profonde émotion que le Festival International de la Bande Dessinée d'Alger (FIBDA) a appris la disparition de Mahfoud Aider, l'une des figures les plus emblématiques et les plus respectées de la bande dessinée et de la caricature algériennes.
Né le 9 novembre 1951 à Alger-Centre, Mahfoud Aider a consacré plus d'un demi-siècle de sa vie au neuvième art. Dessinateur, bédéiste et caricaturiste de talent, Il était un des membres de la célèbre revue M’quidech, il fut l'un des membres fondateurs de la mythique revue satirique El Manchar, dont il a durablement façonné l'identité graphique et éditoriale. Par son trait unique, son humour subtil et son regard critique sur la société, il s'est imposé comme l'un des véritables pionniers et doyens de la bande dessinée algérienne.
Fidèle compagnon du Festival International de la Bande Dessinée d'Alger, Mahfoud Aider a accompagné le FIBDA durant de nombreuses années. Il a siégé à plusieurs reprises en qualité de membre du jury des concours de bande dessinée, il en faisait partie en 2026, mettant son expérience, son exigence artistique et sa bienveillance au service de la découverte et de l'accompagnement des nouvelles générations d'auteurs. Le FIBDA, reconnaissant de son immense contribution au neuvième art national, lui a rendu hommage à plusieurs reprises, saluant son parcours exceptionnel et son engagement indéfectible en faveur de la bande dessinée algérienne.
Par son œuvre, son humilité, sa générosité et son attachement à la transmission, Mahfoud Aider laisse un héritage artistique et humain inestimable. Son parcours demeurera une référence pour tous ceux qui croient au pouvoir du dessin, de l'humour et de la création comme vecteurs de culture, de liberté et de mémoire.
Mahfoud Aider nous a quittés en juillet 2026 et a été inhumé au cimetière de Sidi Yahia à Alger. Sa disparition laisse un vide immense au sein de la grande famille de la bande dessinée algérienne.
En cette douloureuse circonstance, le Commissariat ainsi que toute l'équipe organisatrice du Festival International de la Bande Dessinée d'Alger (FIBDA) expriment leur profonde affliction face à cette perte qui touche l'ensemble de la communauté artistique nationale.
Nous présentons nos condoléances les plus sincères à son épouse, à ses enfants, à l'ensemble de sa famille, à ses proches, à ses compagnons de route, ainsi qu'à tous ceux qui ont eu le privilège de le connaître, de travailler à ses côtés ou d'admirer son œuvre.
Le nom de Mahfoud Aider restera à jamais gravé dans l'histoire de la bande dessinée algérienne et dans la mémoire du FIBDA, qui perd aujourd'hui non seulement un immense artiste, mais également un ami fidèle, un homme d'une grande noblesse et l'un des bâtisseurs de notre patrimoine culturel.
Que Dieu accorde Sa miséricorde au défunt, l'accueille dans l'immensité de Son Paradis. Nous appartenons à Dieu et c'est à Lui que nous retournerons.
