Day 7-Copenhagen bound!!
Last day today, Copenhagen ahead,
All quite giddy as we rose from our bed!
Ib and Nils kindly joined us today,
Representing the Danish SMA,
After first Danish brekkie lads set forth,
Route very simple, just keep heading north,
E47 bikepath a lot of the way,
Long straight roads was order of the day,
Danish pastries and coffee seemed right thing to do,
Boys kindly treated by the Danish crew,
Puncturegate continued , soon up to eight,
“This has to stop or we’re going to be late”!!
Jim took the honours,top podium position,
But has to face the inner tube inquisition!
Lost concentration and in a blink and a flash ,
Crew had a peloton pile-up crash!
Battle scars and bruises but all ok,
Brush off, bikes checked and on our way,
Lunch or Køge , big butty and beer,
Not long now , the lines getting near ,
Last 15 K heading into the city,
Waterways and bridges, all very pretty,
1000K done, now finish line in sight ,
For these aching legs soon pure delight,
Cas and SL led the team to the line,
Family and friends cheering was just divine,
All home safe , we’ve just had a Ball,

Most importantly we’ve done it for SMA,
So please dig in your wallets without delay👍
Been fun, we’ve loved it,see you all next time,
With some more bike and banter related rhyme !!
