We are preparing to refund the entry fees for the TeraWorlds2021, which had been planned for last week.

You will soon receive a mail, where we are requesting the needed bank information. The mail will be sent to the adress, that you used for registration on Manage2Sail. You may want to check your spam filter if you have not received a mail within a few days.

!! RS Tera Worlds 2021 cancelled !!

We are very sorry to announce that the RS Tera Worlds 2021 are hereby cancelled. We have worked for 4 years to make this event, but the consequences of the recent rise in COVID19 cases internationally have made it infeasible and unsporting to host a World Championship at the present time. We were happy to see travel becoming easier for many EU countries, but for the UK, South Africa, and several other relevant countries, increases in case numbers have prompted the Danish government to impose new severe travel restrictions. New restrictions as of July 17th place nearly all parts of the UK on to the worst “red” status when entering Denmark.

The impact has been a significant reduction of the number of entries to the Tera Worlds 2021, especially from the UK. We cannot make a RS Tera Worlds with only 30 participants without sailors from the most relevant Tera communities. It does not make sense from a sporting perspective- and from a rational perspective, neither is it economical.

We will fully honor our commitment to reimburse paid entry fees as provided by NoR section 4.4. We will reach out to you - otherwise contact us at [email protected]. We will reimburse the full fee paid, and this is expected to happen fast and surely at the latest before the end of august 2021.
RS Sailing are taking similar steps to fully reimburse charter bookings. For any queries on this, please contact [email protected].

The host club SKB (Sailing Club Køge Bugt) in Denmark are still firmly committed to supporting the national and international RS Tera sailors and will be happy to host future Tera championships like a Tera Worlds - in a time with less Corona-stress. We will in general continue to work together with the RS Tera International Class Association and RS Sailing to make future Tera races of high quality.

The RS Tera AGM planned to be held during the RS Tera Worlds will be postponed to Wednesday, September 22nd. Invitations and joining instructions will be sent out to class members by the international class association in due course.

Tera Worlds 2021- we are excited!

We have a solid email inflow from new people who want to come to the Tera Worlds. These days we see corona openings changing most countries back to “green” https://en.coronasmitte.dk/ - really good news.
We also see that the UK has changed their entry rules especially for fully vaccinated parents. https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/denmark/entry-requirements - all in all quite positive news.
Sign up at https://www.manage2sail.com/da-DK/event/TeraWorlds #!/ before July 25th and make sure that the entry fee is paid since this is the last date to enter the Tera Worlds 2021.

We have also had questions about Covid-testing. In Denmark it is free of charge to get tested - also for visitors - you can find many test centers at https://en.coronasmitte.dk/test-for-covid-19 - and the nearest of the Greve Marina (the venue of the Tera Worlds) is at the Hundige train station (Hundige Stationsvej 2) - which is 3.5 km away by car.

Similar to the previous Tera Worlds we also have a whatsapp channel https://chat.whatsapp.com/DonrZlkFJn9FGPToEg4YW7 (name “RS Tera Worlds 2021”) which will be a way to broadcast practical information or chat between parents during the championship.

We are really close to the Tera Worlds 2021 now. It also means that we will officially close the entry list soon. If you want to participate in the Tera Worlds 2021, you will have to sign up and transfer the entry fee at https://www.manage2sail.com/da-DK/event/TeraWorlds #!/ before July 25th 12:00 CET.

Charter boats for the RS Tera Worlds are now fully booked!!!

RS Sailing will be bringing a fleet of brand new Teras to support a number of competitors taking part who cannot bring their own boats from abroad. Thanks to this, we are able to welcome over 50 sailors from 7 countries to Greve in August!

Tim Krat, chief measurer at the Tera Worlds 2021 explains that during Sunday August 1th the RS Tera dinghies entering the World Championship might be inspected according to these requirements. One of the classical problems is placement of sail numbers and similarly having a sufficiently long painter (i.e. the towing line). These problems should clearly be handled before the event. We have also confirmation from RS Sailing that the charter boats will have a sufficiently long painter.

Good news for the TeraWorlds2021

Denmark is really opening borders up now due to extremely low Corona levels. Week by week we see the rules for entering Denmark easing up. Tomorrow we will have quite a few Tera countries marked as green or yellow. Wonderfun.
