PICTURE THIS 25 delved into the industry's ongoing shift from generative AII hype to pragmatic application.

And we were all confirmed in our gut feeling that the industry is moving past speculative fervor in order to engage in the difficult, practical work of building new pipelines, managing new team dynamics, and defining the creative-technical roles of the future.

PICTURE THIS 25 had The Royal Danish Library teeming with visions for the future of storytelling.

Industry leaders and pioneers from around the world shared bold perspectives on how technology, AI and virtual production are reshaping creativity and expanding the boundaries of narrative art.

A huge thank you to Sten-Kristian Saluveer for curating another world-class program and for steering PICTURE THIS safely to shore.

We also want to extend a big thank you to Nordisk Film Fonden for once again undertaking this endeavor with os. And to our sponsors UBOD, Producenterettigheder Danmark, Creative Europe Media Desk, FAF og Danske Filminstruktører for making it all possible.

PICTURE THIS 25 is drawing closer, and it’s finally time to unveil the third round of speakers at this year’s conference.

We kick things off with an opening keynote by none other than Paul Trillo. The pioneering filmmaker explores how the industry's focus on mimicking reality with AI misses the point, and then he shares insights from his journey as an artist who has deliberately "misused" tools to discover their true creative potential.

And prolific screenwriter Katri Manninen addresses the evolving role of the writer in an AI-augmented world and asks: how will screenwriters coexist with GenAI as a new creative force?

So come join us on the 21st of October!

In a fragmented Europe, how can we build bridges to share practical knowledge across borders?

At the session ‘Breaking Barriers: Meet and Learn from Poland's Female Screen Innovators in AI, Virtual Production, and VFX’, we look to Poland and what can be learned from the country’s screen innovators.

Because not only does Poland have a deep history in cinema, but the country also has a growing reputation for excellence in screen innovation, AI, virtual production and visual effects.

And in order to leverage this excellence, the session will introduce VFX producer Marta Bródka, Marta Krzeptowska, Film Producer & Head of International Development at ORKA Production Studio , and Joanna Andrecka, Senior Producer, Post-Production Specialist.

The trio will explore how AI can augment the quality and scope of independent production from the development stage onward.
