+++Band No 14+ 22.05. Viktor + Canabinoid+++
Canabinoid brings concentrated punk energy from Krakow. The band has been a fixture on the Polish underground scene for years and stands for uncompromising, no-frills punk rock with a clear attitude, raw sound, and a healthy dose of anger.
Canabinoid combine classic punk elements with a dark, driving force that goes straight to your legs and leaves you breathless. Their songs are loud, fast, and direct—no detours, no false promises. Lyrically, they move between social criticism, personal rebellion, and the unconditional urge for freedom. It is precisely this mixture that makes their shows so intense: sweaty, honest, and unvarnished.
The band unleashes its full power live. Powerful drums, aggressive guitar riffs, and snotty vocals create a dense, charged atmosphere in which it is impossible to stand still. Canabinoid stands for DIY ethos, attitude, and a punk attitude that doesn't sugarcoat anything and says everything that needs to be said.
At the Music across the Border Festival, they meet an audience that is passionate about exactly that: international networking, loud music, and clear statements.

+++ Band No. 13 + 23.05 Bar +Disko Crunch +++
Electro Punk from Berlin (DE)
Disko Crunch are a duo who don't beat around the bush: electro-punk, somewhere between broken disco, political broadside and maximum demolition. There's no polite asking here, just pushing, shoving and commenting. Songs like “Good Night White Pride” or “Abgewrackte Disco” make it unmistakably clear what this is about—a clear stance, clear words, no tolerance for right-wing bu****it, and no fear of getting dirt under your fingernails.
Musically, it blasts somewhere between punk attitude, creaking synths, and beats that drive rather than beg. Disco Crunch manage to be angry and still be fun – or precisely because of it. The duo thrives on direct energy, playing with chaos and control, and the desire to turn everything up a notch. Live, that means little distance, lots of movement, and the feeling that something unfiltered is happening right here.
Disco Crunch are not background music and they are not feel-good entertainment. They are loud, political, danceable, and uncomfortable – and thus a perfect addition to the Music Across the Border Festival, which celebrates precisely this borderline between music, attitude, and escalation. Those who come won't stay clean. Those who stay will dance. And those who dance may think a little differently afterwards.
Oh—what an old German punk gem we've unearthed here—you might think, if you weren't aware that ZYPH is a new band from Mannheim that's reviving the old days. Imagine a wild cross between SCHLEIM-KEIM, SHOCKS, and PISSE, and you'll have a rough idea of what's being blasted out here.
It fits that everything here was recorded beautifully rough, lo-fi, and a little overdriven, and then it sounds exactly like the strumming of the East German punk bands that emerged after 1990. ATONAL, BRECHREIZ 08/15, BUNTE TRÜMMER, and whatever else they were called.
Angry, caustic vocals, clanging percussion, and ZYPH brings along a wonderfully chopping '77 guitar, and you've got No Future - Anno 2025. Especially in the middle part of the record, things really heat up for the pogo party. The 6-minute song “Laufe durch die Stadt” (Walking Through the City) is a bit out of place, but you can easily go and get another fresh beer. They also throw in a SCHLEIM-KEIM cover, and after two or three spins, you feel like you've known the band forever.

+++ Band No. 11 + 30.05 + DŸSE +++
New Wave of German Noise Rock from Berlin (DE)
DŸSE – the noise rock duo consisting of Andrej Dietrich (guitar/vocals) and Jarii van Gohl (drums/vocals) – has been breaking genre boundaries with its uncompromising sound since 2003. With an explosive mix of noise rock, punk, Dadaist humor, and raw energy, they have earned themselves a permanent place on the European scene.
DŸSE is an experience live: powerful riffs, monster grooves, and opulent stage chaos await you when the duo rocks the stage. Whether at a festival or in a club, DŸSE knows how to get a crowd moving and transform an open-air venue into a pulsating sound space.
For decades, the Music Across The Border Festival has stood for cultural exchange, diversity, and musical discoveries—and with DŸSE this evening will be absolutely a highlight.

We are thrilled to welcome Standartní kompot from the Saxon-Czech border region to the Music Across the Border Festival! The band, which originated in Varnsdorf, stands for raw, rousing alternative punk and punk'n'roll that appeals to both the heart and the dancing feet.
After more than a decade, Standartní kompot has been revived and surprises with fresh energy and a sound that lies somewhere between classic punk spirit and unconventional joy of playing. Their live shows are honest, loud, and full of heart — perfect for a festival that breaks down borders and connects cultures.
With songs like “Punk'n'rol,” “Poslední den,” and “Pepa,” they take the audience on a wild ride through driving guitars, catchy hooks, and lyrics that stick in your head.
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

+++ Band No. 9 + 22.05 Viktor + Radical Pool Fighting +++
Street Punk from Crinitz (DE)
RADICAL POOL FIGHTING hail from Gahro in Lusatia—and whatever this band name may mean, restraint is definitely not part of it. The trio serves up pleasantly rumbling German punk with heart, attitude, and a good dose of self-irony. Guitarist Steffen roars his lyrics into the audience with a wonderfully raspy crust scream voice that fits perfectly with songs about drinking, police violence, and other classic punk themes. But RADICAL POOL FIGHTING can also do things differently: in addition to beer and cops, there are songs about everyday phenomena such as the kitchen appliance “Nicer Dicer” – punk rock between social criticism and kitchen utensils. Whether the numerous “Lalala” passages are always part of the original lyrics or arose spontaneously remains open – in any case, it's fun. The drums are mostly dominated by the solid German punk Uffta-Uffta beat, but in between there are flashes of skill that suggest there is more to this than the raw sound initially suggests. RADICAL POOL FIGHTING are entertaining, loud, likeably unpolished, and thus an absolutely fitting start to the Music across the Border Festival.

There are borders in many different ways. Those who divide political and economic spaces or those who divide different claims of ownership. And there are also the borders in our minds. Do we need them for protection? There can be different opinions about that. Being afraid of something that we don´t know leads us to the borders in our heads.
If we can get over all limits, borders and divisions of countries and people, there can be much more and something special.
Meeting and communication instead of barricades and condemnation!
To set an example the music festival “Music Across The Borders” (MAB) with the slogan “war divides – music connects” was found in 1994 in the Emil club in Zittau.
Zittau is located at the border to the Czech republic and Poland. Therefore it´s the perfect place to socialize across the borders. In addition to cultural exchange with neighboring countries, the festival stands for cosmopolitanism, peace, humanity and diversity. It also stands against fascism, racism, le***an- and homophobia. Since the festival was found different punk rock bands from many different countries were part of it. It has been a long tradition that we invite Polish and Czech bands. But also bands from Brazil, Slovakia, Netherlands and France have shown us, how music can bring people from all over the world together. This includes that we invite people from Polish and Czech clubs to have a diverse audience. The Fesitval also has a german punk tradition. Bands like Drittte Wahl, Turbostaat, Duesenjaeger, and Chefdenker have already staged there. In addition to concerts, cinema, political discourses, information stands and distros are also part of the festival.
The festival took place also in different clubs, for example “Rosa”, “Quasimodo”, “Bunter Hund”, “Wächterhaus” or the “Wiktor”, which is a polish club in Sieniawka (pl). For the 25th anniversary of the festival, for the first time a concert was held in Liberec (cz) in the locality of the Komunitní zahrada LIAS.
