What better day than Bicycle Day to celebrate this! 🚲✨ Karsten is already a few days into his fundraising tour for the Cosmikk-Foundation — "Around the World by Bike" 🌍🚴‍♂️

He proves just how powerful two wheels can be! Every year he hits the road, discovering a new corner of the world, meeting countless inspiring people, and constantly reinventing himself. And the best part? It's all for a great cause: bringing free, high-quality executive coaching to NGOs in crisis regions! 🌍 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬?

Over the past days in Kamuli, Uganda, we witnessed something remarkable.
We saw entrepreneurs creating opportunities where others see limitations. We met village leaders, farmers and young people who are determined to shape their own future. And we experienced what can happen when change is built together with a community instead of being imposed from the outside.

The launch of Nyota Lifeline was an important milestone. But what impressed us even more was the spirit behind it: local leadership, ownership, and a shared vision for a better future.

"Eisanu n'obulamu obulungi mu kyalo kya Bulondo" — Happiness and good life in the village of Bulondo.

In this video, Karsten and Uwe reflect on what they learned during their time in Uganda, what surprised them, and why they believe that sustainable development always starts with listening, trust, and partnership.

Today marks the start of Pride Month. During this time, the q***r community celebrates its diverse identities and fights for equal rights for marginalized groups.

Leadership Choices GmbH campaigns for equal rights, especially the visibility of diversity within its own ranks. The company also encourages its customers to do the same. It's important to recognize diversity as an opportunity, not a threat, and to learn from each other. Whether or not you are part of the q***r community or another marginalized group, it is important to develop and spread awareness of the injustices that still exist today. ❤️‍🩹

The program “Change and Transformation in Organizations” at the EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht led by Karsten is designed for leaders and coaches who want to shape change in a professional and impactful way.

What sets it apart is a holistic approach to organizational coaching:

🌟 𝐘𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐝𝐚𝐲. 𝐍𝐲𝐨𝐭𝐚 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐊𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐢, 𝐔𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚.

We have been here this week, working alongside local entrepreneurs who are building something real. And yesterday, it became official.

92 guests. Government officials. School representatives. Villagers. Elders. 20 speeches. An auction of local produce: pumpkins, baskets, handmade goods. Two and a half hours in 35 degree heat. And not a single person left.

Nyota Lifeline is a new social enterprise founded by Adiaka Alex, born from a deeply personal experience of watching his mother struggle to keep a small business alive under the weight of eleven children, school fees, medical costs, and daily survival. That experience became a mission: to support women and youth in Kamuli District to build sustainable businesses, increase income, reduce debt, and become economically independent.

Honestly? We did not think this was possible. Not like this. Not on this scale, with this depth of community buy-in, on day one.

What moves us most is the founding principle behind Nyota Lifeline: change built with communities, not imposed upon them. "Eisanu n'obulamu obulungi mu kyalo kya Bulondo" — happiness and good life in the village of Bulondo.

This is exactly the kind of leadership and entrepreneurship we came here to learn from and support: grounded in reality, driven by purpose, and built to last.

This is the motto guiding our work, and today, we took a powerful step toward making it a reality.

The Niota Lifeline team had the privilege of gathering outdoors with nearly 100 villagers in Bulondo to share a vision that we believe can truly transform livelihoods in this community.

We presented the idea of launching an agricultural cooperative, complete with a farmers market, hands-on training, and coaching, designed to help local farmers add value to their products and achieve significantly higher revenues.
The energy was incredible. ✨

We had meaningful conversations with village leaders, elders, women, and youth — exactly the kind of inclusive, face-to-face dialogue that builds lasting partnerships. After the meeting, we were taken on a tour of the village farmland and fish ponds, a powerful reminder of the rich agricultural potential this community holds.

Tomorrow marks a major milestone: the official launch of Niota Lifeline in Kamuli, Uganda. 🚀
