International Film Festival BRUKIVKA is an independent film festival that was founded in the Ukrainian city of Kamianets-Podilskyi in 2017 by director and journalist Andrii Zaiets. From 2017 to 2022, 5 full-fledged festivals were held in Ukraine, to which a total of more than 8,000 works from almost 120 countries were submitted, more than 300 films were shown, which were evaluated by famous figures of Ukrainian and world cinema, dozens of workshops, special presentations were held and performances. In 2022, "BRUKIVKA" became the first film festival in Ukraine, which resumed its work in the conditions of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, which began on February 24, and thanks to the 34 festival days, more than 311,000 hryvnias were collected in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and victims of Russian war crimes occupiers. In 2023, for the first time in its history, the festival will be held in full format not only in Ukraine but also abroad. In autumn, the festival will take place in an experimental format in the German city of Warendorf.
�The winners in each of the short film competition nominations, based on the results of the evaluations of the professional jury and the audience, will receive special diplomas and prizes from the "BRUKIVKA" film festival. The team of the film that will receive the Grand Prix will receive a monetary reward of 350 euros and the opportunity to become members of the jury team for the following year.
� Short fiction, documentary, animated and experimental films of up to 20 minutes, created between October 2022 and August 2023, are accepted for the competition program of the International Film Festival "BRUKIVKA". Acceptance of works takes place from May 20 to August 20, 2023 in the following nominations:
- International short film
- German short film
- Ukrainian short film
� The cost of participation on the FilmFreeWay platform is symbolic, from 5 to 10 euros. 50% of the amount will be spent on the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the other 50% will be allocated to the prize fund and organizational costs. The shortlist will be announced on the Independence Day of Ukraine, August 24, 2023, on the official pages of the film festival on social networks, and all participants will be notified via email. The exact dates of the film festival in Germany will be announced in August.
