Gegründet wurde DLTLLY von den beiden Musikern Jolly Jay & H-to-0. Checkt dltlly.com und unsere Socials für alle weiteren Infos. Wir sind JollyJay & H-to-O, die vor vielen Jahren den Slogan "Don't Let The Label Label You" für einen Songchor und unsere Merchandise-Shirts erfunden haben. Als die Website wuchs und der Slogan mehr Gewicht hatte, dachten wir daran, DLTLLY so zu erweitern, dass es nicht
mehr nur für uns relevant ist, sondern für die Szene im Allgemeinen. So wie wir es sehen, ist es nichts Falsches, bei einem Label gesigned zu sein! Aber sobald dieses Label beginnt, dich zu kennzeichnen, verwandelt man sich von einem Künstler in ein Geschäftsprodukt. Leider nimmt dieser Trend kontinuierlich zu, so dass es den Fans schwerer fällt, "echte" Musik zu finden. Wir konzentrieren uns hauptsächlich auf urbane Musik und haben unseren Slogan zu einer Plattform gemacht, die die Arbeit und das Talent von Künstlern aus aller Welt enthüllt. Ab September 2012 werden wir kleine Minidokumentationen, Musikvideos und Freestlyles veröffentlichen, die wir von diesen Künstlern gesammelt haben. Wir werden eine strenge Qualitätskontrolle haben (mit anderen Worten, kein Inhalt, der nicht original, überzeugend oder einfach krank ist, schafft es auf die Website). Bisher haben wir uns an Künstler gewandt, aber wenn die Website und die folgenden Websites wachsen, hoffen wir, dass sich Künstler an uns wenden und sich für ein Video bewerben, das auf der Website gedreht und gehostet wird. Unsere Firma DLTLLY wird nicht nur online präsent sein. Wir werden uns zu Clubnächten, Konzerten, Kampfveranstaltungen usw. Wir planen, für jeden vorgestellten Künstler ein Geschäft zu errichten, um seine Musik zu verkaufen und zu vertreiben. Im Wesentlichen sind wir wie ein Label, nur dass unsere Aktionen nur dazu dienen, Künstler zu fördern und die Szene zu stärken, anstatt die künstlerischen Entscheidungen anderer zu beeinträchtigen oder sich um ihr Image zu kümmern. Im Wesentlichen inspiriert von anderen Plattformen wie SBTV, Tape TV oder Don't Flop, ist "Dont Let The Label Label You" eine alternative Hip-Hop-Szene (die auch für alle Formen von Musik und Kunst offen ist, solange sie gut ist! ). We are two MC's JollyJay & H-to-O who came up with the slogan "Don't Let The Label Label You" for a song chorus and our merchandise shirts 2 years ago. As the website grew and the slogan had more weight to it we thought of expanding DLTLLY so that it is no longer only relevant towards us, but for the scene in general. The way we see it, there's nothing wrong with being signed to a Label! But its as soon as that Label starts to Label you (tell you what to write, how to perform, what to wear etc...) you turn from an artist to a business product. Unfortunately this trend is continuously increasing so that fans find it harder to find "real" music. Mainly concentrating on Urban music, we have turned our slogan to a platform that exposes the work and talent of artists from all over the world. As of September 2012 we will start posting small mini documentaries, music videos and freestlyles that we have gathered from these artists. We will have strict quality control (in other words, no content that isn't original, convincing or simply sick will make it to the website). So far we have approached artists, but as the site and following grows we hope that artists will approach us and apply for a video being filmed and hosted on the website. Our company DLTLLY will not only be present online. We will evolve to club nights, concerts, battle events etc... We plan to also build a store for each featured artist to help sell and distribute their music. Essentially we are like a Label, except our actions are only to help promote artists and strengthen the scene rather than interfere with anybodies artistic choices or care about their image. Essentially, inspired by fellow platforms such as SBTV, Tape TV or Don't Flop, "Dont Let The Label Label You" is an alternative hip hop scene (which is also open to all forms of music and art as long as it's good!).
