📣 Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) (April 27 to May 2, 2027) is calling for Germany’s best animated games! 🎮

Developers based in Germany can now submit their latest computer games for the Animated Games Award Germany 2027. The competition focuses not only on gameplay, but also on animation and artistic and educational aspects.

Submissions are open until February 7, 2027. The nominated games will be showcased at the ITFS GameZone, where festival visitors can try them out free of charge over five days. The Animated Games Award Germany is sponsored by MFG Kreativ.

📣 Wohoo, the animated feature film “Monster Mia” is shortlisted for the European Film Awards 2027 (European Film Academy!

Directed by Verena Fels (alumna of Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg’s Animationsinstitut and Hochschule der Medien Stuttgart), produced by Dunja Bernatzky & Christoph Staber (arx anima), co-produced by Holger Weiss & Dominique Schuchmann (PENG! BOOM! TSCHAK! – FILMS / M.A.R.K.13), and Arxlight Pictures from Spain, International sales: Solveig Langeland (Sola Media). The project received funding from MFG Filmförderung Baden-Württemberg.

Ich freue mich, beim Festival nextReality.Hamburg als Speaker dabei zu sein! 🎤

In meinem Showcase „Willkommen in Carbon Dream$ Land: Wie Satire die Klimakrise in VR spielbar macht“ stelle ich unser VR-Koop-Game vor, nominiert beim in der Kategorie „Zeitgeist“. Ich zeige, wie Environmental Storytelling, Quill-Art und Multiplayer-Design ein Serious Game für Jugendliche tragen und was wir in 15 Monaten Entwicklung über immersive Bildungsformate gelernt haben.

Am 18. und 19. November trifft sich die XR-Szene im Kreativspeicher M28 in der Speicherstadt: Talks auf 4 Stages, Ausstellung, Networking und die Preisverleihung des nextReality.Contest. Carbon Dream$ Land könnt ihr am 18. November auch in der Ausstellung anspielen!
