Where club culture meets contemporary music: Xciting Festival returns Sept. 11–12 2026 for two evenings and one intense night of boundary-pushing performances.

Day two of the Xciting Festival began with the film Crooked, presented as a tribute to the recently passed rapper Sensational.

The evening continued with Alex Cortex, followed by an audiovisual experience by Sote & Tarik Barri.

The night unfolded with performances by Psychic Defence, Lise Barkas, Liminal Resonatrix feat. Nicola Romanò, and finally Madteo, who closed the night.

Another full house, amazing energy, and a deeply engaged audience.

A huge thank you to everyone who came, to all the artists who shared their work with us, and to the entire team for making these two days possible.

The first evening featured performances by Jacques Demierre, Grischa Lichtenberger & Qba Janicki, and Maria Bertel, as well as compositions
by Alex Buess, performed by Liminal Resonatrix feat. Nicola Romanò.

It was a great opening night with a full house, a wonderful atmosphere, and an engaged audience. Thank you to all the artists and everyone who
joined us.

Sensational passed away in August 2026. Our deepest condolences go out to all his friends and family.

As a tribute to his life and art, the movie "Crooked" by Skiz Fernando will be screened at the Xciting Festival. "Crooked" is as much about
Sensational’s real-life personal struggle and his music as it is about the corruption in the music industry.

Alex Buess

Experimental | Electroacoustic

Alex Buess is a Swiss composer, saxophonist, and producer whose work moves between extreme sound, complex structures, and electronic
experimentation. From his influential band 16-17 to collaborations with artists like Peter Brötzmann, William Parker and Kevin Shields, he has
developed a distinctive musical language shaped by improvisation, technology, and a fascination with sound itself.

On Sept. 11 we present new interpretations of Buess' compositions SSSSOSCHHHH!! and Metenfes, performed by Sebastian Hofmann, Martin Lorenz, Marta Zapparoli, and Nicola Romanò.
