Ihre aktuelle Vorschau auf unsere 10. Ausgabe im Juli fasst den Weg, den wir seit 2016 gemeinsam gegangen sind, perfekt zusammen:

"Das einzige Americana-Music Festival in Deutschland feiert nun in diesem Sommer sein 10-Jähriges Jubiläum und wird der glanzvollen Festival-Historie zweifellos ein weiteres ruhmreiches Kapitel hinzufügen." Wir können es kaum erwarten, dieses nächste, "ruhmreiche Kapitel" gemeinsam mit euch im Zentrum Altenberg und auf unserer Welcome Night im JuBB Werden zu schreiben.

70 % der Tickets für dieses Jubiläum sind bereits verkauft. Gleichzeitig möchten darauf hinweisen, dass wir in dieser Woche auch die Tagestickets für Freitag und Samstag in den Vorverkauf gegeben haben!

Last week, Leeroy Stagger dropped his 13th studio album.

Pilgrimage. Cordova Bay Records. Co-produced with longtime friend Joel Plaskett at New Scotland Yard in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Kendel Carson on fiddle. A sonic tribute to the 1970s that somehow lives entirely in 2026.

The lead single Highlands Leaving traces his family’s 250-year arc. The Highland Clearances of the 1700s pushed Leeroy’s ancestors from Scotland to Northern Ireland to Nova Scotia. Three centuries later, Leeroy walks back the other way through the music.

Leeroy described his vision for the record as „a wild-looking album from 1972“ you’d pull from a thrift store and be blown away by. He pulled it off.

For our 10th anniversary, you’ll hear these songs played live. From day one of this festival, Leeroy has been part of the family. The new chapter lands on stage at Zentrum Altenberg.

The UK's The Telegraph just published a fantastic article about the Ruhr area , describing how Germany's industrial heartland has transformed into a "leafy holiday destination". The author highlights how nature has reclaimed old steel mills and coal mines, turning the area green. He even specifically explores our festival's hometown, Oberhausen, mentioning the iconic, gigantic Gasometer!

This fascinating mix of industrial history and lush nature is exactly what makes our venue, Zentrum Altenberg, so special.
