A spectral current emerges through the THIRD EYE: MONOSYM 🌊

Based in San Francisco, California, Monosym is a producer and DJ whose work unfolds within the subtle intersections of atmospheric techno, experimental structure and immersive sound design. Her music moves with restraint and intention, shaping tension through texture rather than force, and revealing entire worlds through minimal but precise transformations.

Her debut EP *Telenetica*, released in 2024 on the Australian imprint oomycota, introduced a distinct sonic language defined by pressure, space and gradual metamorphosis. Across its unfolding forms, rhythm and abstraction coexist, creating a listening experience that feels both suspended and in constant motion.

Beyond her solo work, Monosym has contributed to various compilations on labels such as Warning, Mana Abundance, Aedi Records and area127, further extending her exploration of deep, textural sound worlds.

Her DJ sets move through hypnotic frameworks and spacious atmospheres, tracing the deeper edges of club music where rhythm dissolves into abstraction and perception begins to blur. Each selection unfolds slowly, drawing the listener into a controlled drift between focus and disorientation.

For nearly two decades, Kangding Ray has occupied a singular position within contemporary electronic music, building sonic landscapes that extend far beyond the conventional boundaries of the dancefloor. Moving seamlessly between techno, ambient music and experimental composition, his work exists in a space where precision, emotion and innovation converge.
Emerging from the minimalist aesthetics of the 2000s, Kangding Ray gradually developed a language entirely his own. His productions are defined by intricate sound design, hypnotic rhythms and richly textured atmospheres, transforming electronic music into immersive environments that feel both futuristic and deeply human. Rather than adhering to genre conventions, he continuously reshapes them, creating works that invite both physical movement and attentive listening.
His acclaimed discography has become a cornerstone of contemporary electronic music. From seminal releases such as Stabil to albums including Solens Arc, Hyper Opal Mantis, Ultrachroma and ZERO, his body of work has continually expanded the possibilities of electronic sound. Recent projects such as the Polar EP and the conceptual diptych comprising Helios Rave Draft and Superfluid further demonstrate his ongoing exploration of sound as both a physical force and an emotional medium.
Beyond clubs and festivals, his practice extends into cinema, installation and contemporary art. His sonic explorations have resonated within museums, galleries and interdisciplinary spaces, reflecting a creative vision that refuses limitation. Most recently, he composed the soundtrack for SIRÂT, a work that earned both the Cannes Jury Prize and the Cannes Soundtrack Award, underscoring his ability to translate complex emotional landscapes into sound.

A cartographer of digital realities enters the THIRD EYE: SARA LUNA ◈

Moving fluidly between art, technology and systems thinking, Sara Luna Ruiz develops works that reveal the invisible structures shaping contemporary life. Born in Medellín and now based in Berlin, the visual artist, curator and experience designer operates at the convergence of computational processes, collective behavior and expanded media practices.

Her work spans interactive installations, real time audiovisual systems, video mapping and algorithmic environments, transforming complex networks into sensory experiences. Through a practice informed equally by science, design and critical inquiry, she investigates how digital infrastructures influence perception, social dynamics and the ways individuals navigate increasingly mediated realities.

Alongside her artistic work, Sara is an educator in creative technologies, computational design and algorithmic systems, cultivating new approaches to understanding the relationship between humans and technology. Whether through immersive visual environments or generative systems, her projects consistently explore the tension between control and emergence, structure and unpredictability.

For more than eight years, her practice has unfolded across international museums, festivals and cultural platforms within the digital arts landscape. Her work has appeared at Glastonbury Festival, Draaimolen Festival and Festival Estéreo Picnic, as well as institutions including Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellín, Museo de Arte de Pereira and Festival de la Imagen.

Sara Luna Ruiz creates spaces where data becomes material, systems become landscapes and technology becomes a lens through which to question the forces shaping contemporary existence.

This year SOMA joins Third Eye with a dedicated gear tent, creating a meeting point for curious minds, sound explorers, synthesizer lovers, and anyone drawn to experimental electronic music culture.

The tent will be hosted by Tim Kroker and Glenn Keteleer, who will guide visitors through demonstrations, live experiments, and hands-on explorations of SOMA instruments throughout the weekend.

Whether you are deeply into modulars, drone, noise, ambient experimentation, or simply curious about alternative approaches to sound and instrument design, this is a rare chance to step inside the SOMA universe within the festival grounds.

A ceremonial transmission enters the THIRD EYE: MITOTILI 🌿

Working at the intersection of healing arts, sound practice and contemporary performance, Mitotili develops a language where listening becomes ritual and sound becomes a vessel for memory. Grounded in Mexican ancestral knowledge and informed by current artistic discourse, her practice unfolds as an invitation into expanded states of perception.

Drawing from prehispanic sonic traditions, she composes through voice, rattles and ceremonial instruments, building layered acoustic environments that move between performance, ritual action and collective listening. Each sound field is shaped as a living space, where presence, vibration and intention converge into shared experience.

Her work engages sound as a ceremonial medium capable of activating ancestral memory, not as representation but as transmission. Through voice and acoustic instrumentation, she constructs immersive situations where listening becomes embodied, spatial and deeply relational.

Mitotili extends her practice into audiovisual work, presenting within contexts that bridge contemporary art and experiential research. Her work has been shown at König Galerie, Fotografiska Berlin and Centre Pompidou, positioning her within an international field of interdisciplinary exploration.

Her practice continues to evolve as a form of sonic invocation, where sound is not performed but activated, and where listening becomes a shared threshold between worlds.

For us, a great sound system is about care for the artists, the music, and everyone of you gathered in front of it. It allows us as dancers to feel connected not only to the sound, but to each other and the space around us.

A boundary-pushing selector enters the THIRD EYE: DJ NOBU ༆

DJ Nobu operates in a realm unconstrained by genre, weaving together sounds from across the electronic spectrum into hypnotic, ever-shifting journeys. His sets are not defined by category but by atmosphere - fluid constructions where tension, depth and intuition take precedence over convention.

To those who have followed his path, Nobu-San represents something far beyond a traditional DJ. Over more than twenty years, he has built a near-mythic reputation through his Future Terror gatherings, his label Bitta, and a body of mixes and recordings that resonate with a deeply committed audience.
