Gerade gestern ist mir wieder aufgefallen, wie schade es ist, dass um 2 Uhr die letzte S-Bahn geht und viele darauf angewiesen sind. Gerade nämlich die Magie, die in der letzten Stunde von der Tanzfläche zurückstrahlte, war einfach wunderschön. Ich hätte da auch noch 2 Stunden auflegen können. 🤩

Erst einmal der Wunsch für ein wunderschönes 2026 und der Dank, dass ihr uns auch in diesem Jahr die Treue und wahnsinnig viel Freude bereitet habt. Was als einmalig geplante Veranstaltung begann, geht nun ins siebte Jahr 😂 An dieser Stelle möchte ich auch mal betonen, dass bei uns NUR legal erworbene Musik zu hören ist. Keine illegalen Downloads von youtube oder Ähnliches. Alles selbst gekauft, bezahlt oder auch geschenkt bekommen. Mir ist es wichtig zu betonen, das Musik wertvoll ist und deshalb auch dementsprechend honoriert werden sollte.

Wer heute zu Silvester feiern möchte, hat im Feierwerk die Gelegenheit dazu. Die Black Opera und der Katzenclub sind gemeinsam am Start und selbstverständlich sind auch Marco Schwedler und Reinhard Bluhm für euch hinter den Reglern.

Abschließend noch ein Foto von einigen Veröffentlichungen, die mich in diesem Jahr nachhaltig begeistert, begleitet und bewegt haben. Mit bent, StateMent und Denny Weit ist natürlich auch München selbst ganz vorn dabei, die nicht nur gespielt wurden, sondern auch persönlich vor Ort waren. Vielen Dank dafür!
Mit Theodoros Dimitriou gab es für mich den Newcomer des Jahres. Die komplette Platte ist der Wahnsinn und ich hoffe auf einen Live-Auftritt.
Die Northern Territories lieferten für mich dann gleichzeitig das Comeback und das Album des Jahres ab.
Überschattet wurde das Jahr aber auch durch Verluste. Andreas Catjar-Danielsson von Covenant weilt nicht mehr unter uns, weshalb das Cover der Schallplatte tragischer nicht sein könnte. Aber auch Dave Ball von Soft Cell und Douglas McCarthy von Nitzer Ebb und kürzlich erst Perry Bamonte von The Cure, sind von uns gegangen, was das ausklingende Jahr rückblickend nicht immer einfach gemacht hat.

Dennoch wünschen wir ein tolles 2026 und wir sehen uns mit Freude am 17.01. wieder, zur nächsten Soleil Noire.

What the bleeding hell? Das war ja wieder eine Sause! Der Hammer! Dennoch habt ihr mir um 2 Uhr echt leid getan. Habe euch kurz zuvor auf der Tanzfläche beobachtet. Überall fröhliche Gesichter, die absolute Feierlaune und dann schlägt unbarmherzig das Gesetz zu. Es war trotzdem absolut fantastisch und es hat richtig Freude bereitet, für euch aufzulegen. DANKE! Wir lieben ja Neuheiten. Da trifft es sich doch hervorragend, das auch unsere Gäste nicht davor zurückschrecken und eher gespannt als pikiert sind. 😃 Deshalb kündigen wir mit stolz gleich 3 Weltpremieren an! Wir bekamen nämlich 3 Songs von 3 Interpreten, die es bislang noch nirgends gibt, mit der Erlaubnis sie morgen Abend erstmalig auf der Welt zu spielen.
Einmal ist es nagelneues Material von der belgischen Formation They Feel Nothing, welche sich ja relativ regelmäßig auf unserer Playlist befindet und wir exklusiv die neue Single für morgen bekommen haben. Des Weiteren haben wir die Ehre ein nagelneues Stück von bent, alias Niko Martens zu präsentieren, was es ebenfalls noch nicht gibt. Dieser hat sich nicht lumpen lassen und uns zusätzlich noch den ersten Track seines Nebenprojekts Three days awake zur Verfügung gestellt, welches ich große klasse finde. 3 Weltpremieren an einem Abend. HONOURING THE MEMORY OF ANDREAS CATJAR-DANIELSSON

Today it’s exactly one year since we lost our great friend and colleague Andreas to cancer. We think of him every day and we’ve decided to release a limited edition vinyl 5-track EP, celebrating the music he made for Covenant.

The ANDREAS E.P. is a non-profit release, with all all digital and physical proceeds going directly to Andreas’ sons Andrej and Ivo including Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple music, iTunes, etc. Thanks to Dependent/SPKR for so generously carrying the production costs!

The ANDREAS E.P. contains the previously unreleased cover version of the Yazoo song “Winter Kills”. Here’s what Andreas himself thought about it:

“Winter Kills is my all time favourite Yazoo song. It´s just magic. How do you make something so minimalistic so bombastic? Like Eric Satie. And even though the piano (and of course Alison’s voice) is the dominant instrument it still sounds very synthetic. As if the cold winds of winter, the loss and the longing is hidden in the space between the notes. Or compressed in the wonder of the single drum hit.”

As many of you probably know, Andreas was a man with prodigious energy and a gazillion different projects. Two of those, Abu Nein and Souls, will also celebrate his memory on this sad day with special releases. Check them out here:

I am the summer goth :-)

Bei wirklich sommerlichen Temperaturen, war fast überall eines zu sehen: Gute Laune! Trotz Amphi und Konsorten, kamen genügend feierwillige Leute und hatten sichtlich Spaß! Den hatte ich natürlich dann auch etwas befeuert und gegen Ende ist es dann sogar noch ein wenig eskaliert, da ich einfach ein paar eher ungewöhnliche Songs, für ein paar ganz besondere Menschen gespielt habe :-) 80er Party, ick hör dir trapsen ;-) Ja, da ist eine in Planung! Die nächste Soleil Noire findet aber ganz normal am 20.09.25 statt!

Allerdings habe ich mich auch schon direkt zu Beginn gefreut. Wer "Watching their eyes" von Kissing the Pink mitsingen kann, hat schonmal direkt gewonnen ;-)
