Die Skulptur Projekte Münster sind eine alle zehn Jahre stattfindende internationale Ausstellung zeitgenössischer Kunst im öffentlichen Raum. Die sechste Ausgabe der Skulptur Projekte Münster findet vom 13. Oktober 2027 statt. Die Ausstellung, die seit 1977 in zehnjährigem Rhythmus in Münster realisiert wird, feiert damit zugleich ihr 50-jähriges Bestehen. Initiiert von Klaus Bußmann und Kasper König, haben die Skulptur Projekte über die Jahrzehnte hinweg neue Maßstäbe für Kunst im öffentlichen Raum gesetzt und sind zugleich fest mit der Stadtgemeinschaft verbunden. Die künstlerische Leitung der sechsten Ausgabe der Ausstellung liegt beim Kuratorinnenkollektiv What, How & for Whom / WHW. Träger der Skulptur Projekte sind der Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe (LWL) und die Stadt Münster. Veranstalter ist das LWL-Museum für Kunst und Kultur.

Skulptur Projekte Münster is an international exhibition of contemporary art held in the public space of the city every ten years. The 6th edition of Skulptur Projekte Münster will take place from 13 June to 3 October 2027. Returning to the city every ten years since its founding in 1977, the coming edition marks the 50th anniversary of the exhibition. Initiated by Klaus Bußmann and Kasper König, Skulptur Projekte redefined art in the public space and has established a deep and lasting engagement with the social fabric of Münster. The next iteration will be directed by the curatorial collective What, How & for Whom / WHW and hosted by the Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe (LWL) and the City of Münster. The exhibition is organized by the LWL-Museum für Kunst und Kultur.

Danke, dass ihr beim NRW-Tag in Münster dabei wart! 💛

Gemeinsam haben wir Buttons gestaltet und an der Schreibmaschine Zeile für Zeile Münsters längstes Gedicht wachsen lassen. Danke an alle, die vorbeigekommen sind und mitgemacht haben!

Und das war erst der Anfang: Wir werden die Schreibmaschine auch in kommenden Veranstaltungen mitnehmen und euch kreativ werden lassen ⌨️ Der nächste Termin steht auch schon fest: am 19. September sind wir auf dem B-Side Festival. Wir freuen uns darauf, gemeinsam mit euch weiterzuschreiben. Bleibt gespannt!

Together, we designed our own badges and watched Münster’s longest poem grow, one line at a time, on the typewriter. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and got creative with us!

In Münster ist dieses Wochenende NRW-Tag und wir werden kreativ 🖌️

An allen drei Tagen könnt ihr uns an einem Stand im Innenhof des LWL-Museums für Kunst und Kultur finden und eigene Buttons gestalten.

Zusätzlich laden wir ein, am Sonntag von 15:30 bis 17:30 Uhr am Stand des Ministeriums für Kultur und Wissenschaft des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen das längste Gedicht Münsters zu schreiben - Zeile für Zeile an der Schreibmaschine.

In Münster, it’s NRW Day this weekend and we’re getting creative 🖌️

On all three days, you can find us at a stand in the courtyard of the LWL-Museum für Kunst und Kultur, where you can design your own badges.

In addition, on Sunday from 3.30 to 5.30 pm, we invite you to contribute to Münster’s longest poem at the Ministry of Culture and Science’s stand of North Rhine-Westphalia – writing it line by line on a typewriter.

Monika Al-Daghistani vom AWO Quartierstreff Berg Fidel erzählt uns von ihrer besonderen Beziehung zum dem Stadtteil. In Berg Fidel wird unter anderem Róza El-Hassans Arbeit zu sehen sein, die sich mit Themen wie Vertreibung und Flucht auseinandersetzt. Zentral für ihre Arbeit ist eine Verbindung individueller Erfahrungen mit übergeordneten sozialen und politischen Fragen.

Das Haus der Niederlande im Krameramtshaus wird 2027 einer der Ausstellungsorte der Skulptur Projekte Münster 📍

Prof. Dr. Jacco Pekelder, Direktor des Zentrums für Niederlande-Studien, gibt uns einen kurzen Einblick in die Geschichte des Ortes. Diese Geschichte bildet auch einen Ausgangspunkt für Hew Lockes Installation für die Skulptur Projekte Münster. In seinen Skulpturen verarbeitet Locke gefundene Objekte und verbindet, ausgehend vom Verhandlungsort des Westfälischen Friedens, lokale Geschichte mit globalen Machtverhältnissen.

In 2027, the Haus der Niederlande at the Krameramtshaus will be one of the exhibition venues for Skulptur Projekte Münster 📍

Prof. Dr. Jacco Pekelder, Director of the Center for Dutch Studies, gives us a brief insight into the history of the site. This history also provides a starting point for Hew Locke’s installation for Skulptur Projekte Münster. Incorporating found objects into his sculptures, Locke takes the site where the Peace of Westphalia was negotiated as a point of departure, connecting local history with global power relations.

Eindrücke aus zwei Tagen Social Mapping 🎨

Am 4. und 5. Juli wurde die Fußgänger:innenpassage am Rincklakeweg zum offenen Atelier. Zahlreiche Teilnehmende füllten die großen Leinwände mit ihren Ideen, Gedanken und Zeichnungen.

Die entstandenen Arbeiten werden als Teil der Ausstellung „Kollektive Osmose“ von Oscar Murillo im DAS MINSK Kunsthaus in Potsdam präsentiert.

Vielen Dank an alle, die mitgemacht und vorbeigeschaut haben!

Social Mapping wurde von DAS MINSK Kunsthaus in Potsdam und Studio Oscar Murillo in Kooperation mit den Skulptur Projekten Münster 2027 und in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Arbeitskreis Berg Fidel veranstaltet.

Impressions from two days of Social Mapping 🎨

On 4 and 5 July, the pedestrian passage at Rincklakeweg was transformed into an open studio. Numerous participants filled large canvases with their ideas, thoughts and drawings.

The resulting works will be presented as part of Oscar Murillo’s exhibition ‚Collective Osmosis‘ at DAS MINSK Kunsthaus in Potsdam.

Social Mapping was organised by DAS MINSK Kunsthaus in Potsdam and Studio Oscar Murillo in cooperation with Skulptur Projekte Münster 2027 and in collaboration with the Arbeitskreis Berg Fidel.
