Freitag 26.11.2021 // 19 Uhr: Let's meet at the Human Artist Interface!
Das Human Artist Interface ist eine interaktive Karte, über die Ihr einen Avatar bewegen und die verschiedenen Räume und Bühnen betreten könnt. Dort seht Ihr die Installationen und Performances - und könnt mit ihnen und den anderen Gästen interagieren. Am Freitag liegt der Fokus auf der Shiny Ausstellung im Makroscope. Achim the Interface wird Euch begrüßen und Euer Guide sein.

Daniel Maszkowicz and Nat Cilia will build a sound spaceship with 16 small speakers scattered around. The public will be invited to sit or lie down for a voyage to be enjoyed by astral projection or flying carpet. Two sets of about 25 min are being prepared.

INFLUUT (Nat Cilia – saxophone & voice, Daniel Maszkowicz – electronics & synthesis) is a duo from Switzerland playing electroacoustic jazz. The essence of their music takes origin in two opposite yet complementary approaches meet to explore instrumental harmonies and algorithmic synthesis. INFLUUT’s approach to composition leaves room for improvisation and electronically randomized sound events for building up a musical narrative that follows organic flows with a technological component.

Sometimes, the Robert Turner Collective from Switzerland provides the visual backdrop to INFLUUT’s sonic landscapes, creating a unified and immersive experience of post-jazz sound and algorithmically manipulated images.

INFLUUT’s creative work is initiated by a perpetual questioning about the world that comes after. What happens after apocalypse, war, pandemic or mass extinction? Machine encounters Nature in a strong yet subtle entanglement, achieving the renewal of natural fauna with electric bugs and mechanical automatons. A new cycle commence, like a vivid blow expanding the universe of possibilities. The duo invites for the unexpected, a voyage to be enjoyed by astral projection or on a flying carpet, experiencing various emotional states from still streams to explosive storms. Best serving live with quadriphonic surround soundsystem so the music can propagate in space for a truly immersive experience.

The Cologne based ladies‘ quartet 120 DEN, founded in 2019, plays with modified mannequin legs, which become independent electronic instruments through guitar strings, contact microphones and built-in synthesizer elements.

The resulting sounds range from subtle caresses to overflowing tapestries of sound, to knee-jerked death metal passages and conceptual electronic textures. The experimental leg sound is of course also supported orally. The down-to-earth feminine performance moves on a large scale, incidentally referring to the background of the subtle numbering and giving Rosa Luxemburg a leg up: a spectacular stage show for a wide audience!

The unit denier (den, symbol Td) is defined as follows: 1 den = 1 gram per 9000 meters.
Thus, for a filament yarn, 15 denier = 15g : 9000 m, 1 tex corresponds to 9 denier.

The lower the den number, the more transparent and fine the product is. The higher the number, the more opaque the stocking is. Pantyhose with only 8 den are just a hint and particularly finely worked. Opaque are fine stockings with 50 den or more, through which no skin shimmers. 120 DEN are therefore opaque and with the number 120 also refer to the noise character of the musical output: at 120 decibels is the pain threshold of the human ear.
