NRISIMHA CATURDASI Welcome the Lord into your heart
This year due to the Moon calendar Nrisimha Caturdasi falls on a Saturday, the 28th of April. Saturday is the day of the week that Saturn (Sani) worships Lord Nrisimhadeva which makes this festival a very special opportunity to pray to Lord Nrisimhadeva to vanquish all obstacles on the path of devotion. Many great personalities have come together this years for this great celebration and have prepared elaborate and stunning ceremonies to welcome the Lord.
KIRTAN SIMHA Chant with the roar of a Lion
An additional two days of KIRTAN SIMHA follows the Caturdasi day. Lord Caitanya is often referred to as “The Lion of Kirtan” and his roaring singing is equally compared to the roar of a lion. Lord Caitanya Simha was therefore the inspiration for us to inaugurate our first annual Kirtan festival dedicated to the special relationship between Lord Caitanya and Lord Nrisimhadeva.
