Kinder und Jugendliche aus aller Welt erleben ein Reitturnier der besonderen Art. Children from all over the world enjoy a very special horse show.

"Friendships, no Championships!": Seit 1999 fasziniert die Idee der German Friendships Nachwuchsreiter aus aller Welt. Jeder deutsche Teilnehmer stellt seinem ausländischen Teampartner ein Pferd zur Verfügung. Die beiden trainieren zusammen und gehen gemeinsam in den sportlichen Wettkampf mit den anderen Teams. So werden in sechs Tagen internationales Teamwork und Völkerverständigung gelebt, neue

Freunde finden sich, Fremdsprachen werden geübt und gemeinsam die Liebe zum Pferd gefeiert. In der Turnierwoche jagt ein Höhepunkt den anderen, sei es der Empfang im historischen Rathaus oder ein Besuch einer großen Reitanlage. Ganz oben steht sicher das Top Ten Training: Stars wie Ludger Beerbaum, Marcus Ehning, Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, Otto Becker und viele andere unterrichten die Nachwuchsreiter. Lokalen Bezug erhält das Welt-Turnier durch die Unterbringung in Gastfamilien vor Ort. The youth of the world meets at Herford

"Friendships, no Championships": Since 1999, the idea of the German Friendships keeps fascinating young riders from all over the world. Each German rider provides a horse for his team partner from abroad. The team trains and competes together. International teamwork and understanding come alive during these six days. The kids make new friends, exercise foreign languages and enjoy their common love of the horse. The Show is made up of one highlight chasing the next, be it the reception in the historical Town Hall or the visit to a major horse farm. All this to be topped off by the Top Ten Training: Stars such as Ludger Beerbaum, Marcus Ehning, Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, Otto Becker and many more come to coach the young riders. To add the special local touch, the guests from abroad are invited to stay with host families.

The year 2021 would actually be a German Friendships year. As you can certainly imagine, the current situation also has a serious impact on the planning of our traditional two-yearly international horse show.

Bringing together young riders from all over the world, "Friendships not Championships" - that is the goal and motto of our event. After numerous intensive talks, considerations and discussions in our team, we have come to the conclusion: The basic idea that makes the German Friendships what they are cannot be realized under the extraordinary circumstances this year.

Even if it should be possible until the summer: An event characterized by strict regulations and contact restrictions would in no way meet the actual character of our horse show. We have made the decision anything but easy, but unfortunately we have to announce herewith that there will be no German Friendships this year.
