Buxtehude, hometown of the fairytale "The hare and the hedgehog'': a mixture of large apple and cherry plantage full of cheerful early summer fragrance, biking around the picturesque countryside and casually enjoy the classical concerts with the higest artistic level.

The Festival Prelude: the 10th Dr. Eva Maria Zbick Young Artist Award Contest (EMZ KÜNSTLERFÖRDERPREIS Oberhausen) was such a success for both the artist and audience on Thursday!

The Laureate of 2023 .sct opened the evening with two of his impressive transcriptions inspired by Prokofiev.

Three highly talented pianist nominees for 2024: , and offered the audience three wonderful performances with works by Bach, Beethoven, Scriabin, Say, Rameau, Bartók etc and received enthusiastic applause from the audience 👏

Congratulations to Xingyu Lu as the Laureate of 2024 🎉 He will make his Recital Debut at our festival on 8th September in Buxtehude and 1st December for the Award Ceremony connected to a Recital Debut.

Susanna Braun and Arda Mustafaoglu will also make their exciting Recital Debuts at on 27th October 🎹

Dr. Eva Maria Zbick Young Artist Award was founded in 2015 and sponsored annually by Rotary Club Anthony-Hütte Oberhausen.
