Behind Magna Pia () is Hüseyin Evirgen, a composer, producer, and DJ. As a former member of the duo Cassegrain, he’s been part of the techno scene for over a decade. His solo work blends driving rhythms with spatial textures and unorthodox sound design. With releases on labels like Counterchange (), Konstrukt(), Soma (), and Arcing Seas (), Magna Pia explores ways to connect modern techno with archaic symbolism and archetypes, without losing focus on the dancefloor.

Magna Pia will be joined by Metrapha () and Dns (), members of the Gitter collective (), who continue to shape abstract_concrete with their uncompromising vision of techno, bridging international resonance with local energy.

Metrapha (), a part of Essen’s local cultural scene and co-founder of GITTER () and abstract_concrete, guides his listeners through dark, hypnotic sonic landscapes, where he gradually dares to transition into unknown spheres.
In his DJ sets, he perceives the audience as an emotional resonance body, eliciting visceral reactions through driving, technoid grooves and melodic, sometimes dub-inspired textures. For him, techno serves as a vehicle to explore the ineffable and transform the club space into a realm of immediacy.

Dns (), member of the Essener collective Gitter () and co-founder of the party series abstract_concrete plays with an energetic fusion of powerful and hypnotic melodies and creates ecstatic sound landscapes throughout his sets.
Driven by the cultural and musical diversity, of his hometown Essen and his playground the Ruhr Area his mixes display an act of refusing the obvious. He loves to surprise his listeners with groove and funk inspired techno tunes to loosen the gradually build up tension.

Having spent much of her youth deep in Cologne’s techno scene while staying connected to Georgia’s electronic music culture, Mariami () brings a blend of both influences to her sets.

Since 2021, she has been part of the Brutalism () label and actively curates nights in Cologne.

Gentle yet assertive, her sound weaves delicate, organic textures with warm tape delay tones, and powerful basslines.
She loves exploring contrasts, crafting long transitions that seamlessly move between seemingly opposing sounds.

With Mariami as our next guest at abstract_concrete, we couldn't be more excited and are looking forward to an intense night in the goethebunker ().
