🚨RACE REVIEW: MESCH AND FÖRDERER TAKE HOME THE TITLE AT MOTORLAND ARAGÓN

The fourth round of the GT4 Winter Series took place at Motorland Aragon, and the season’s most dominant pairing – Joel Mesch and Enrico Förderer – won races once again, securing the overall championship for 2026.

Mesch and Förderer came into the weekend on a streak of six consecutive victories, which had granted the SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm pairing a huge advantage of 77 points over the closest competitors in the overall standings. The competitors in question were L’Espace Bienvenue’s Charlie Robertson and Ravi Ramyead, in the PRO-AM-entered #71 BMW. With just 75 points available to score per-weekend, the British duo needed to outscore the Mercedes team to stay in mathematical contention.

🚨 RACE REVIEWS: MOTORLAND ARAGÓN OFFERS A TWIST IN THE GT WINTER SERIES TITLE FIGHT

The primary title protagonists in the GT Winter Series overall title battle are separated by just four points headed to the finale, courtesy of a dramatic weekend at Motorland Aragon. Heading into the fourth round of the season, SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm’s Kenneth Heyer and Jay Mo Härtling held the de facto championship lead with 132 points, owing to Oleksii Kikireshko (PTSportsbyUp2race) being absent. Just six points back, Simon Orange and Marcus Clutton of fellow
GT3 entrants Orange Racing by JMH, on 126 points.

🚨 ANNOUNCEMENT: COMTOYOU RACING ENTERS CORONEL & VAN ROON IN ASTON MARTIN AMR GT3 EVO

Comtoyou Racing will return to the GT Winter Series at Barcelona, entering an Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo for and .

Tom Coronel has switched his focus from Touring Car competition to GTs in recent years, driving Porsche 992 Cup machinery at the Nürburgring 24 Hours, NLS and other endurance race events. The Barcelona event will be the first time that Coronel has raced a GT3-spec car since 2019, but the experienced Dutchman has already completed test mileage in the Aston Martin.

The former touring car and single-seater champion has already been a common sight in the GEDLICH Racing paddock during 2026; at three events this season, he has been present to support his son Rocco in the Formula Winter Series.

Jan Jaap van Roon has been a regular co-driver to Coronel in endurance racing over the last two seasons, and has spent the 2020s dove-tailing his racing efforts alongside his role as CEO of hotel customer data platform Ireckonu.

🚨 ANNOUNCEMENT: UNIQ RACING WITH JERZY SPINKIEWICZ TO RETURN TO ACTION WITH HURACÁN SUPER TROFEO EVO 2 IN BARCELONA

2025 GT Winter Series Cup 4 frontrunners UNIQ Racing will rejoin the grid at Barcelona, marking a return to competitive action for their driver Jerzy Spinkiewicz.

Spinkiewicz has been absent from motorsport since September, after an accident in testing left him with several injuries that required immediate surgical intervention. As a result of the recovery time required, the Polish racer’s season was ended prematurely; he has worked hard with his team to return in 2026. Spinkiewicz's first competitive action back in a race car will take place at the GT Winter Series finale in Barcelona.
