How do you build a genuine customer connection when screens dominate every waking second?

In an era of deepfakes and endless digital noise, physical print is a vital anchor for brands. It offers tactile trust, substance and a clear signal of appreciation that pixels alone simply cannot match. This is not about choosing print over digital. It is about how both channels work together to reach people. 🤝

We asked four of our PDC partners to get their take on why this convention is a must-attend event for the industry. The industry leaders Oliver Curdt (VDM Nord-West), Claudia Josephs (epda), Martin Groß-Albenhausen (bevh) and Margarete Bohnen (Marketing Club Düsseldorf) explain how cross-channel collaboration, smart packaging and AI are reshaping the landscape.

Swipe through to read their insights. 👉

Closing the loop starts on the shopfloor. ♻️

In waste extraction for print and converting, the challenge is not the technology itself, but the waste. As Lasse Kjaer Bastholm of Lundberg Tech notes, the priority is to handle waste better, automate the process, and increase efficiency so that materials can be reused, reduced, and recycled. This involves transitioning from manual solutions to integrated extraction systems that capture edge trim and matrix waste at the source, transport and compress it, reduce unplanned stoppages and enhance safety, while generating cleaner streams for effective recycling.

Printers and converters should treat waste extraction as a workflow decision rather than an end-of-line task. Specify solutions that integrate with press and finishing lines, provide data on volumes and uptime, and facilitate material recovery.

How are you automating waste extraction today, and what results are you seeing?

True production power emerges when digital intelligence and physical print operate as one connected ecosystem.

At PDC 2026, established industry leaders and specialised innovators demonstrate how integrated workflows are reshaping print and packaging production. Companies like Deutschland , Konica Minolta and Druckmaschinen AG collaborate directly with software specialists such as Fiery to reduce operational friction and unlock greater efficiency. ⚙️

This collaboration pairs agile digital infrastructure with precision finishing systems from FKS. 🏗️

Plan your B2B meetings in advance to experience this integrated value chain. 📑

Which technology partner or workflow layer are you prioritising to optimise your production efficiency this year?

Every digital pixel is fighting a losing battle against the raw impact of physical space. This "Physicality Premium" is a neurological response to digital saturation. Direct-to-Wall systems reclaim sensory attention by merging high-fidelity graphics with architecture 🎨.

Printing directly onto masonry removes the environmental friction of PVC 🌿. Sensor-driven print heads adjust for irregularities, ensuring industrial precision on raw concrete. This creates "Dopamine Decor" that teams repaint in days to match shrinking campaign cycles ⚙️.

The real spark of industry transformation happens when we step out of the boardroom and connect on the ground.

The real momentum of print lives where colleagues meet. Our team is travelling to capture these honest perspectives from our global community under the Barcelona sun. 🌍

Hearing the operational realities of potential exhibitors shapes how we align the dive into the unseen at . 🤝 Great to witness this drive in action with Sabine Geldermann, Marten Dirmeier, and Benedikt Salmen on the ground.

How critical are spontaneous face-to-face exchanges for driving your team’s innovation?
