📣 The EUROPEAN TALENT COMPETITION is open for applications: compose the score, design the sound, or apply with both!

🎥The aim is to compose a new musical interpretation of the short film "FAKE NEWS" (D: David Seul).

🏆 WDR FILMSCORE AWARD
The winner will get the opportunity to record an original composition with the WDR Funkhausorchester

🏆 EUROPEAN TALENT AWARD SOUND DESIGN
The winner will receive a 5.1 cinematic mix down in the prestigious mixing studio Toruspost

The winners will be announced during the SoundTrack_Cologne award ceremony on July 17th.

In 2026, SoundTrack_Cologne 23 once again presents the PEER RABEN MUSIC AWARD for the Best Music in a Short Film.

🏆 Award
A prize of €1,500 will be granted to a film score that demonstrates innovation and powerfully supports cinematic storytelling through music and sound.

📅 Submission Deadlines & Fees
• Early Bird: €12 – until March 26, 2026, 10:00 AM CEST
• Late Deadline: €17 – until April 15, 2026, 10:00 AM CEST
